23.01.2022 Lions Club of Rostrevor New Members needed Please help us to continue serving the Campbelltown Council Community by joining us as a member of the Lions Club of Rostrevor. Our numbers are getting low and we need more community minded residents to join us to continue serving our Community. If we are forced to fold the support, we give the community will be lost. 1. For the last 3 years we have supported students from the Campbelltown area to take part in Operation Flinders cost... per year was $ 1,650 2. $ 1,000 was donated to the North Eastern Community Hospital towards a new birthing bed 3. At our Annual Black Hill Challenge $ 3,000 was raised for the Royal Fling Doctor Service and $530 donated to the St John Ambulance 4. Other donations over recent year have been to Drought Relief, Bushfire Appeals, Foodbank and various Lions Foundations and Charities in particular Lions Hearing Dogs We currently meet on the 1st and third Tuesday of the month If you feel you can help by contributing some of your time to our community, please ring Trevor Symonds President on 0428321189 See more

It was a great party on Tuesday when everyone in the room glammed up, got together with friends, solved a few puzzles and went in the sweeps. 10.01.2022 Lions Club of Rostrevor New Members needed The Lions Club of Rostrevor invite community-minded residents to attend an information session on Sunday afternoon 7th March at 2:30 pm at The pop up Café at the Rezz Hotel. Please help us to continue serving the Campbelltown Council Community by joining us as a member of the Lions Club of Rostrevor. Although a small group, we are an effective club with a high-level of fund raising within the City of Campbelltown Council area. Alongs...ide our fundraising we also gather socially with partners and friends. If we are unable to attract new members, the support we give the community will be lost. 1. Lots of helpers on hand from the community including Love Campbelltown, Kiwanis club on the bbq, Athelstone & Pembroke scout groups, councillors John & Sue, Lions club of Rostrevor and others. Special thanks to Campbelltown council for supporting this initiative (especially Rachael, Henry & the depot guys). It was a great opportunity not only to help further green up our city... but for residents to connect with each other. #keepingourcitygreen #civicpride

02.01.2022 No, not the Bunnings sausage sizzle! #BREAKING: Bunnings Warehouse Australia has made the "tough decision" to suspend sausage sizzles across all their stores... from tomorrow! The company will also be cancelling all other planned in store activities until further notice, including its Easter and Mothers Day Family Nights, school holiday workshops and trade breakfasts. How do you feel about the news? Bunnings Managing Director, Mike Schneider, said: Having listened closely to community groups, weve learned of the challenges many groups are facing finding volunteers and even supplies to sell given some of the reported challenges being faced by other retailers. We also want to make sure our team remain focused on helping customers to access the products they need. We absolutely understand the important role these sausage sizzles play for thousands of local community groups and charities and that finding alternative fundraising opportunities at short notice isnt easy.
