23.01.2022 Despite the worst weather, we had a delightful family stay with us on the weekend. This was their second visit, and they really enjoyed seeing Tango and Dolly again. I think the guinea pig was a favourite too!

08.01.2022 Beautiful autumn day on the farm

07.01.2022 Tango, the world’s worst shed cat, but is often a favourite with our guests! He has found a nice warm spot to sleep on this damp day!

06.01.2022 Door open! These guinea fowl are now of the age where they ready to be out in the big wide world. Update: they didnt think they were ready to be out, so i let them back into their pen in the afternoon. They enjoyed there short lived freedom for a while. Just as well as 8 o’clock last night we had a fox visit! Think i will be keeping them in their pen for a bit longer after all.

04.01.2022 A lovely surprise this morning to find these goose eggs hatching, a few days ago I accidentally knocked cord out of incubator, and when I discovered it the eggs were stone cold. I was so upset, but I plugged it back in and we woke to chirping this morning. Tough little chicks! More photos to follow. Moral of the story- don't give up!!

03.01.2022 Thankyou for all your well wishes for our Dolly. It was a stressful time, topped off by a seizure Tuesday morning , but I’m very happy to report Dolly is nearly back to her cheeky old self

01.01.2022 For more than 50 years the Benger Swamp was used for growing potato crops. Planting, digging and bagging potatoes were all times of high activity at Benger Swamp. Throughout the years many a Harvey district person supplemented their income by growing potatoes.
