21.01.2022 To all dads around the world, I thank you for loving and supporting your children. You have had immense impact on their lives, and shall be forever in their hearts. Have a Happy Father's Day!

20.01.2022 Happy International Day of Peace. For almost an entire century, Rotary, Rotaract and Interact have brought peace and prosperity to millions worldwide who are forever grateful.

18.01.2022 Just got out of the INCREDIBLE Relay for Life annual trivia night! It was such an honour to be the MC (Master of Ceremony for the evening), I enjoyed every minute... And got to crack puns throughout the rounds and games. It was wonderful to be part of such an inspiring cause to eradicate cancer.

16.01.2022 This is wonderful to hear. It just reinforces the good service of Rotary, and how it brings many together. Congratulations Rotary International!

08.01.2022 Had an amazing time with these guys! It's wonderful to network and come together to make a difference. Provisional Rotaract Club of Fairfield-Liverpool

08.01.2022 Reading this page brings a smile to my face. It's wonderful to see primary students being involved in the community, and learning how to help others and realise how lucky we all are. Well done to Rhiannon! And well done to the creators of the Mini Vinnies initiative, what wonderful exposure for the future leaders of tomorrow.

08.01.2022 Taken directly from Rotary Down Under, this is a wonderful way to get Rotary on the international stage. Rotarian Miss Universe - Let's make it happen! Larissa Allen is one of Rotary New Zeland’s youngest Rotarians, joining Tauranga Sunrise when she was 23 and now aged 25. She has recently entered Miss Universe NZ and is now one of the top 20 finalists. ... In her own words she entered because I thought it would be a good opportunity to reach out to organisations I am passionate about and use the title to do some good. I am super passionate about children and youth, keeping them safe and seeing them thrive. The charity we support is Variety - The Children's Charity and I am currently fundraising to support these kids of NZ in deprivation. Larissa already sponsors a Kiwi child by herself and can’t wait to sponsor even more. She is a mentor for youth through the Graeme Dingle Foundation programme Project K and sits on the board of her local theatre. She is also a RYLA graduate and graduated with a Bachelor of Communication Studies from Waikato University. She has set up a everyday hero page to fundraise which can be accessed here: https://missuniversenz2016.everydayhero.com/nz/larissa-allen She has a simple goal of $2500 in total. So far she has only reached $120.75. Surely her fellow Rotarians can help her do better than that! If Rotarians and Clubs contribute she will be well on her way. The two contestants who have the highest fundraising totals will receive immunity from elimination during the Grand Final when the contest moves from 20 to 10. To be on the front page and one of the top five fundraising she needs to reach less than $800 so far. As a philanthropic young person and excellent spokesperson for Rotary amongst the younger generation, it be wonderful if Rotarians could get behind her and drum up support and donations. Imagine what good PR it would be for Rotary NZ and Rotary worldwide to have a Miss Universe member! Rotarians and Rotary Clubs can also purchase here vote bundles for $5 to support Larissa https://www.iticket.co.nz/events/2016/sep/larissa-allen $1 from every vote bundle will go to Variety. The public vote will count towards 50 per cent of the final scores for the 20 contestants. The remaining 50 per cent will be calculated from the Judges’ scores on the night. Thank you for your help and we wish Larissa the best of luck! RDU will be featuring Larissa in next month's printed edition though it will not come out in time before the Grand Final on September 3.

07.01.2022 I am so proud of these clubs. Well done and to the others achieving their goals globally.

04.01.2022 Hello everyone! Hope you're all well, and having a happy Friday! Speaking of Friday, today is Daffodil Day! Daffodils are in the air, and if anyone is volunteering that is wonderful! There are other ways to support this cause. Help the Cancer Council advocate for cancer care and prevention through the purchase of a lovely daffodil pin, pen or bear at stations and supermarkets, or can brighten up any room with a bunch of daffodils! Donations can also me made at https://www.daffodilday.com.au/donate/?amount=

03.01.2022 It's wonderful to see young students showing such courage and bravery, something the Rotary/Rotaract/Interact community value greatly.

01.01.2022 Rotary has made monumental impacts to this event along with many others. Today marks 17 exact years since the United Nations established White Ribbon Day in 1999. The Australian Bureau of Statistics says that one in three women have experienced domestic violence, whether it be physical, verbal and even financial oppression. The ABS also contest that one in four children are exposed. So over 33% of women are abused within the home, and 25% of children are facing it and as a consequence are affected. I spoke to a Ribbon organiser today and they told me that one woman every week is killed in domestic violence. That may not sound like much, but that's 52 families impacted, and countless loved ones. THAT IS WAY TOO MUCH. SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE. STOP THE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN.

01.01.2022 I was looking on Google news to see if anything new stemmed up about Rotary and an interesting article caught my eye. I shall pitch the same question, but also with the context of you lovely Rotaractors... What is your unique story about joining Rotaract/Rotary?
