18.01.2022 Rotaractors spent last Sunday watching State of Origin game 2, playing games, and getting to know our new members.

18.01.2022 Thank you to the Rotaractors & Rotarians who came and helped out at the Carwash & Sausage Sizzle at Porters Mitre 10 Mackay, where we raised over $800 for our IT 2 Zim project.

17.01.2022 On Saturday the 10th of August a couple of our Rotaractors caught up at Empire Arcade in Mackay for a social night. Such a great time was had, and turns out a couple of us are quite competitive!

15.01.2022 Yesterday our club said goodbye to one of our founding members and a good friend to all of us, Steven. We will miss Steven as he leaves us to go to Rocky to finish his studies but we are also excited for him to finally finish his degree in procrastination. We had a few games of pool at the mount p tavern and ended up having a great chat at the botanical gardens to finish off the day. We will miss you Steven!

11.01.2022 Our club had its first get together last thursday since the coronavirus restrictions were put in place. Feels good to be back in business having been out of action so long. Hit us up if you want to come to the next one!

11.01.2022 Had a quiet social at Seabreeze about a fortnight ago, loving the new level of activity our club is having since restrictions were lifted!

11.01.2022 Busy sunday for our rotaract club. The day was spent cleaning and cutting open the containers we send the computers in for the IT 2 ZIM project.

10.01.2022 Last month Rotaract Mackay Region Inc were invited to attend a Skype session alongside Rotary Club of Sarina Inc. where we interacted with Prof. C from the Rotary Club of Harare Dawn.

10.01.2022 This Saturday 28th September, we will be down at Porters Mitre 10 Mackay City doing a Sausage Sizzle and Carwash to raise funds for the IT 2 Zim Project. Small Cars - $7 Large Cars - $10... Sausage on Bread - $2 Come down and say g’day to the team, grab something to eat and get your car washed while you do your shopping shopping.

09.01.2022 With Jeff working hard behind the scenes, the IT 2 ZIM project is still steaming ahead with dozens of laptop donations from the Nebo State Primary School and a uteful of monitors from BMA Haypoint Coal Terminal. A big thank you to both, for making projects like this possible and a special thank you to Jeff for putting in a big chunk of his own time making sure the kids back in Zimbabwe have computers!

05.01.2022 About a month ago Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal donated around 150 - 200 computers to the IT 2 ZIM project that our club is involved in. We just wanted to show our appreciation for this by posting a couple of photos of the dally bay guys helping us unload it all. Good thing they helped us otherwise we would have been there all afternoon!

04.01.2022 On the 27th of July, a few of our Rotaractors attended the G&S Engineering Food & Wine Festival, held in Mackay. It was a great day and we had heaps of fun assisting Rotary Club of Mackay.

02.01.2022 Another quick update: It’s cold. Almost everyone is asleep. 5 hours to go.

01.01.2022 Last Tuesday we were invited to the Rotary Club of Sarina Inc.'s Partners' and Family night, where we saw the induction of two new members to their club, and we were also given the opportunity to introduce ourselves and our club to a number of the Rotary Clubs from around Mackay.

01.01.2022 We’re getting together this Sunday 23rd June to watch Origin Game 2. Meet us at McGuires CBD Hotel around 7pm for pre-game drinks and pool! Bring a friend, wear your team colours, and we’ll see you there!

01.01.2022 This weekend a few of our Rotaractors ventured out into the community to support the Sarina High Relay For Life Team. We had a great time relaying and raising money for cancer research. Hopefully next year we will have enough members to form our own team and make the 2020 relay even more fun.
