13.01.2022 Our last gathering for the year is planned for the evening of December 17 from 6.30 pm at the Ballarat Yacht Club. All members and their partners and friends are encouraged to make this a must attend function. We have had a tough year, and it would be excellent if we could all be together sharing conversations over a two-course meal and a drink to celebrate the end of 2020 a year we will all be pleased to say goodbye to! Merry Christmas, everyone!

08.01.2022 Well, this is heart warming. While mother and daughter- Maggie and Cass - were travelling in Burma, they were in awe at the local women using traditional weavin...g methods to create baskets out of pallet strapping that they collected from the streets, discarded factory rubbish or from transport and packing industries. Maggie and Cass were so impressed with the product and that it embodied reuse-recycle mentality that they decided they wanted to support the talented weavers. So Pli was formed. 07.01.2022 Dear Club Members, please keep the evening of Thursday, October 1st free as we are in the process of planning a Wine and cheese evening again using local Mitchell Harris wines and selected cheeses. Should Covid 19 restrictions still be in place we will do this as a Zoom event as we did back in May. If we are allowed to meet as a group we will do so. Expect more information in your emails once we are more certain of what we are allowed to do.

05.01.2022 Our guest speaker this past week was no stranger to us. Peter Caligari has been the face of the 3BA Christmas Appeal for more years than he would care to remember. He spoke to us with care and concern of the many families in Ballarat doing it tough (more so this year as we progress through the COVID-19 Pandemic), and of the increased pressures on the Appeal coming from other organisations, all competing for the donation dollar to support their own cause. It is no doubt that they too are worthy causes, but 3BA has a long and successful history of working with four key local welfare organisations who have a system of ensuring that the money is used appropriately. Please think of giving to the 3BA Christmas Appeal this year.
