25.01.2022 Beaufort and Skipton Health Service are working with the Rotary Club of Beaufort, Victoria to put an end to Trachoma. Australia is the world's only developed c...ountry with trachoma, an infectious eye disease that can be prevented with good hygiene practices. Trachoma is present in remote Aboriginal communities and can lead to permanent blindness. BSHS, with Rotary Beaufort, are making toiletry kits for school children at the Areyonga School in the Northern Territory. These toiletry kits will provide the basic needs for good hygiene. We are collecting donations of toiletries, including: Toothbrush & container Toothpaste Soap & container Deodorant (non aerosol) Face washer / Hand towel Water bottle (1 litre) Shampoo and Conditioner (full size) Hairbrush or comb For more information please visit https://www.youtube.com/watch? or contact Meryn Pease on [email protected].

12.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Beaufort is saddened by the passing of our former member Stan Deans. Stan was a member of our Club from 2002 to 2009, a past member of the Rotary Club of Warracknabeal and a member of Rotary Club of Geelong East. Stan was a Rotarian for 52 years. Stan was a great contributor to our club and a strong supporter of the Defying the Drift program. We send our condolences to Stan's wife Carol and his family. RIP Stan. Gone to higher service.

09.01.2022 One of Rotary Internationals most amazing programs. We are so fortunate to have had a number of wonderful international students as part of our Rotary Club of Beaufort family.
08.01.2022 It is with sadness that Rotarians at Rotary Club of Beaufort and across the globe acknowledge an amazing Australian leader, Sir Clem Renouf who passed away yesterday. Sir Clem served Rotary International as the World President in 1978-79 and had a vision to rid the world of polio. We continue on this journey with just two countries remaining endemic (Pakistan and Afghanistan). Aged 99, he was a true inspiration to Rotarians throughout Australia and beyond. Who knows how many children are walking and running freely thanks to his vision and not contracting polio? The fight to finish this journey must continue.

05.01.2022 Rotary contributing in times of Covid-19.
04.01.2022 Rotary meetings are full of amazing information on a vast range of topics. We heard this week from local member Peter Humphries on his 16000 km trip to the Canning Stock Route in WA and the amazing adventure and insight into the Route, its amazing sandhills, wells and only one petrol station mid way! A part of Australia most of us haven't and are unlikely to visit - but we enjoyed it through the power of story telling. Thanks Peter.
03.01.2022 Thank you to the health service heroes living and working in our community.
03.01.2022 Try these tips to help combat the effects of wearing a face mask.

02.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Beaufort are also proud to have supported the BlazeAid volunteers who set up camp at Lexton after the fire impacted many farms in the area. Wonderful volunteers and contributions from Lions Clubs, Rotary and many community people enabled the clearing and re-fencing of many kilometres along roadways, through paddocks and forest areas. BlazeAid is an amazing organisation. Well done everyone.
