24.01.2022 Rotarians Lesley, Denise, Di, John, Tim and Bev, getting back out into the community and supporting the Friends’ of Deniliquin Cemetery. It felt good to get out and provide a service for our community, especially after being in isolation for so long. We couldn't have asked for better weather. There is still plenty of work to be done, so we will be organising another day to help the ongoing effort to make our cemetery weed free.

18.01.2022 The Centenary Stamp of Approval What better way of celebrating our centenary? A new commemorative stamp to add to the collection from 1955, 1971 and 2005 markin...g previous anniversaries! Australia Post has announced that we will have a special stamp in 2021 for our centenary. Design starts in April next year prior to formal approvals. We can look forward to several products including first day covers, stamp packs and inclusion in the annual collection. Ideal for collections, gifts, thankyou’s for speakers, Rotary archives, memorabilia and more. And we are still working on a commemorative coin to match the stamp. What a way to let everyone across the nation know of the value that Rotary brings to all our communities.

16.01.2022 District 9790 Rotary Youth Leadership Award camp started today when 14 young people aged between 18 and 30 from all over the District were ferried to Kilmore to... board the bus taking them to one of Rotary's best youth programs - RYLA. There was great excitement and plenty of getting to know each other, with a sense of excitement building while waiting for the bus. The sponsoring clubs will eagerly await their return to hear about the many and varied skills and knowledge that will be experienced by them over the next week. See more

13.01.2022 Our biggest social night for quite some time. A mix of Lions and Rotarians were able to gather in a covid safe environment to enjoy the festivities. Thank you to the Deniliquin RSL for setting up and supplying us with Christmas goodies. We enjoyed games and activities that had some people thinking outside the square. Ian McAtamney won the prestigious 'Jolliest Santa Trophy' with his impression of Santa climbing a chimney! Congratulations to Dale for winning the raffle and is now the proud owner of two delightfully carved reindeer. Thank you to all who came along and made it a fantastic night

13.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Deniliquin welcomed our new President Denise Phillips at our ‘Covid Safe’ Changeover dinner. Denise has been the captain of our ship for the past few months and has done fantastic job. We were able to have a few guests join a small number of rotarians, as well as Denise’s family, to welcome in the new board. As you can see from some of the photos, the Covid safe protocols obviously don’t stop photo bombers.

At the end during the quiet time, one of the kids was asked what they liked best about the session and they said "all the beautiful smiles on everyone's faces". One was asked what part they enjoyed and went on to identify EVERY part of the session. Another participant who last week would not participate, this week was screaming with delight and was participating in everything. If you want to warm the cold corner of your heart then just come along and experience something incredible.
