24.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE POSTPONEMENT 40th Anniversary Lunch 28th March 2020 Regrettably, based on Health Department recommendations, Government initiatives and duty of issues, the 40th Anniversary Lunch has been postponed to to a suitable date in the future.



24.01.2022 Watch this space!!!! The Rotary Club of Evandale is again celebrating Australia Day on Friday 26th January 2018. Details to follow!!!!

21.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Evandale is making some changes. Effective from its first meeting for the 2019 on the 10th January, the club will be meeting on Thursdays at a new venue; The Clarendon Arms Hotel, 11 Russell Street, Evandale. Meeting time remains the same at 6.15 pm for 6.45 pm.

20.01.2022 What a night! Around one hundred people attended our Trivia Night at the Memorial Hall last night. A memorable event in all ways. Great support from the Evandale community to assist us in raising funds for reverse cycle heat pumps at the Evandale Primary School. With the club matching the door takings on a "dollar for dollar" basis, in excess of $3500.00 was raised. People entered in the "Hat" theme , as can be seen from the attached photos. Thanks to everyone for your support.



18.01.2022 We are holding a Trivia Night on Saturday 28th October at the Evandale Primary School, 6.30 for 7.00 pm. Cost is $10.00 per head - BYO drinks & nibbles. Bookings can be made at the Evandale Post Office - phone Carol 6391 8018. Make up a table of eight and come along and join in the fun. Proceeds raised will go towards the provision an infant playground. For more information see the attached flyer.

18.01.2022 Our Australia Day celebrations were held at Pioneer Park last Thursday. Master of Ceremonies, David Houghton gave a brief overview of the history of Australia Day. We recognised the contribution made to the Evandale community by presenting Senior Citizen Awards to Janne Crosswell and Stephen Baldock. Our Junior Citizen of the Year is Sasha Massey. They are all very worthy recipients. Janet Lambert, representing the Northern Midlands Council, presented the Awards.



18.01.2022 Friday 26th July saw people come out to support our Trivia night to raise funds for the Evandale Primary School. Final amount raised is not yet known but it is anticipated to be around $1,700/$1,800. Many thanks for your support!!!!

18.01.2022 IMPORTANT POSTPONEMENT 40th ANNIVERSARY LUNCH 28th MARCH Regrettably, based on Health Department recommendations, Government initiatives and duty of care issues, the decision has been taken to postpone the lunch to a suitable date in the future.

15.01.2022 With assistance from the Northern Midlands Council and the Tasmanian Community Fund a new gazebo has been now been completed at Morven Park, The final step is the installation of a drinking fountain. The Junior Action Group (JAG) at the Evandale Primary School, supported by the Rotary Club, raised the funds for the purchase of the drinking fountain.

12.01.2022 When 120 people came to our Trivia Night last Saturday it ensured it would be a successful night. Approximately $2,600.00 raised for the Evandale Primary School. Many thanks to everybody who contributed in any way to everyone who attended. You made the night. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

11.01.2022 Congratulations to the Clubs only Charter member, Arthur, who has been recognised for his many years contribution to Rotary in Tasmania, with Evandale Club (38 years) & at District level, as well his involvement in many other community groups in the North, by being selected as a Baton Bearer for the Launceston section of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Baton Relay on Wednesday morning, 7th February. Arthur will be carrying the baton in Brisbane St. between Tamar St & Lawrence St at approximately 9.50 a.m. Rotarians are invited to come & cheer him on &/or join him & other Baton bearers at the celebration in Civic Square from 10.15 onwards. Its a good chance to advertise Rotary by wearing your Rotary shirts/caps!! His wife. Denise, is also a Baton bearer & will be handing the Baton to her husband!

11.01.2022 We are supporting a fund raising event in aid of Breast Cancer Network Australia. On Sunday 5th November five rarely seen private gardens will be opened at Evandale from 10-4 pm. The cost is $20.00 for all five gardens, $30.00 a couple (children free); $5.00 per individual garden. Details are on the map. Tickets available on the day from the Evandale Information Centre or the gardens themselves. Check the Facebook page - Roses and Ribbons Open Garden Day Evandale. Feel free to like and share.

10.01.2022 During our Australia Day celebrations, the Club presented an Automated External Defibrillator(AED) to the Evandale Fire Brigade. The AED has been registered by the Fire Brigade with Ambulance Tasmania to become part of the Ambulance Tasmania network. Pictured is Grant Rigby receiving the AED from David Houghton

06.01.2022 In October we held a Trivia Night to raise funds for the Evandale Primary School P&F Assn to help them with their fund raising activities towards the purchase of reverse cycle heat pumps for the School. At our meeting last Monday night, President Jeff handed over a cheque for $4,000.00 to Anna Cunningham being the proceeds from that function. Jeff is pictured with Anna.
