19.01.2022 On behalf of a Mossie resident: Hi all, We have some local families here in Mossie who are doing it tough at this time. ... One lost the Dad of the family recently and the other are now expecting their fourth child - the mum was made redundant this year despite her being pregnant and the dad is out of work. They are resorting to going fishing every night in the hope of catching dinner. Between today and tomorrow evening, if theres anything you dont need that could brighten up their Christmas - donations of food, pool toys, or any kind of toys; or unwanted gifts or vouchers that might cheer up the parents, I am happy to collect and give to them. Family #1 have children aged 13 (girl) & 10 (boy). Family #2 children are aged 9 (girl), 7 (boy), 5 (girl) and newborn baby boy due in April 2019. Items can be dropped off any time at our place at 18/26 Wellington St Mosman Park. Ill leave a collection box in our courtyard (access via Village Place). Thanks! Merry Christmas everyone

06.01.2022 Rotary Clubs strive to make the world a better place through practical efforts in local, national and international communities. This week in Parliament I reco...gnised the 14 Rotary Clubs engaged in Curtin and talked about their fantastic contribution, incredible service and commitment. One initiative I would like to recognise in particular is the Perth Rotary - Western Australia's partnership with The Salvation Army Australia through the Path of Hope Foundation. This initiative raises funds for the Salvation Army to provide immediate support and refuge for women and their children who are victims of domestic violence. 04.01.2022 "In The Post over the weekend, you may have seen this article, reporting on how our beloved Russell Brown Adventure Park, as well as being a big hit with locals, is now an award winning park, winning Parks and Leisure Australia's WA regional award in the category of Best Playspace (minor >$5m). Congratulations to everyone involved in the design and creation of the park, including the Mosman Park Community Men's Shed, Rotary Club of Mosman Park and St Hilda's Anglican School for Girls as well as our own team. Fingers crossed as we head to the national finals later this year."
