19.01.2022 We are flying with preparations for our 2020 Charity Golf Day to be held at Shepparton Golf Club on Friday 28th February. We have locked in 27 teams of 2 with a few more possible, but welcome any additional teams of 4 or single entries. Our guest speaker will be Jobe Watson from Essendon FC and we are sure that his story will be of interest to everyone. The whole drug saga and losing his Brownlow Medal surely to get a run. We would like to acknowledge our major sponsors for t...his year and welcome back as our Gold Sponsors, SpecSavers Shepparton and Quicklift Crane Hire. Their ongoing support is amazing. We also thank our Silver Sponsors Shepparton Motor Group and welcome Bendigo Bank to our sponsor group. $10000- from the Golf Day will go to GV Health to provide 2 x Post Graduate Nursing Scholarships. This will help to train existing nurses upskilling to fill roles in the new and improved services which will develop from the work currently being done on the GV Health Campus. Cant e...xpress how it felt to finally get this done. Sad still that some of the donations didnt make the cut, but thats Kenya for you. What we did send will certainly change the lives of our children, the Mums and the farm workers and hopefully improve the productivity at Umoja. Thanks also to Fazi, who was our Intertek Inspector today, certifying our loading. Your support and encouragement was really appreciated. See more
06.01.2022 It is great to be able to confirm that our guest speaker for the Charity Golf Day this year will be Damien Fleming, ex Australian Cricketer and genuine good bloke. Anyone who takes an interest in Cricket and listens to the broadcasts will know that Flem has a fantastic sense of humor and is a natural entertainer. All the hard work is now done, putting together another fantastic day for all our supporters. We just need teams and players to make all the hard work worthwhile. 02.01.2022 Update on this years event. We have finally arranged our guest speaker and, in keeping with the quality of our past events, we have secured Jobe Watson. All football fans will know the journey Jobe has had over his football career, winning a Brownlow Medal, but having it taken away over the Drug Saga at Essendon, being a massive moment in his successful career. Jobe is a quality person and also a successful businessman, having numerous Coffee Shops now in the US. I am sure he... will be a fantastic guest. Details of the event are attached. $10000- from the funds raised on the day will go to meet our commitment to provide 2 Post Graduate Scholarships in Nursing for GV Health and the balance will help us meet our commitment to our community and other worthwhile projects. We are currently supporting those impacted by the fires and this work is bound to continue. Your support, more than ever is important to our ability to provide this support. See more
01.01.2022 After a very interesting and uncertain year, we are pleased to say that our Charity Golf Day is on again on Friday 26th February, 2021. It will be a 4 Person Ambrose event as usual, with breakfast at 7.30am, 18 holes of golf, more than $10000- in prizes, on course hospitality and a fantastic lunch and Guest Speaker after the game. We are still to finalise our speaker, but strive to provide a great quality guest each year. Last year we hosted Jobe Watson who was fabulous, open... and honest about Essendon FC and the trials of the Doping Saga. Teams of 4 donation is $1000- which includes all of the above plus entries in our massive raffle with prizes a minimum of $100- each. Our major charity will again be GV Health, where we donate to sponsor 3 Post Graduate Nursing Scholarships which help current staff expand their experience and gain further qualifications to benefit the hospital and the community. Our Major Sponsors confirmed so far are Quick Lift Crane Hire and, Audi Centre Shepparton and we hope to confirm our long time supporter, SpecSavers in coming days.
