Our Father of the year event could not operate in its original format this year, but with thanks to the schools we have been able to adapt for Covid Restrictions and adapt the format this year. 22.01.2022 Thank you to Warrnambool Primary School for supporting this years Father of the Year event. Congratulations to the winners. Father/Father figure: Henry Bird nominated by Elsie and Levi Bird. Nomination, Elsie; Splash! Boom! Bang! I absolutely love going to the beach with my Dad. Whether it’s a cold, brisk day or a lovely, warm summer’s day! Whenever we go there we either make sand bombs or go swimming in the cool water. I love going to the beach with my Dad!... There are lots of ways my Dad makes me feel special. One of them is every night he cooks me dinner and it always tastes yummy no matter what it is. Every single night he tucks me into bed and says I love you, good night Levi; I really love mucking around, watching movies and having tickle fights together! I also enjoy kicking the footy and going on car trips with him. We also take our dog for walks at the beach which I really love. He gives me amazing hugs, cooks really good food and helps me with my homework (only when I need it though, not too much!). My Dad has so much love to give and he shares it well with my family, he gives incredible hugs and makes me feel unbelievably special. I love my dad, he’s the best. Father/ Father figure: Clinton Neave nominated by Keanu Neave Bundle Nomination; My dad and I like to cook together and also play with my dog, Sugar. We make pancakes every Saturday and we also like to kick the footy sometimes. The most funniest thing we do is make LOTS of jokes and we always laugh, we also like to watch movies together. If I’m playing / doing something and make a mistake he always tells me it is ok and I tried my best and he’s really happy he also says that I’m learning. He always says good things about me and says he loves me and hugs me. Unfortunately he has to work late so we can only do it on the weekend and days off. Nomination: My Dad and I take long walks with our dog, Charlie! I love to snuggle up in a tiny ball beside my Dad and watch our favourite shows together. He laughs at the smallest things and it makes me giggle. We both play ukulele and I play a little bit of guitar, but my Dad’s REALLY good with playing guitar. My Dad makes me feel special by leaving out the meat (I’m vegetarian). When I’m sick he has so much empathy! He always makes sure I’m not getting picked on or struggling at school. My dad has so much love for me and he shows it in EVERY way! I love you Dad!

Now master of the replica HMB Endeavour, John will draw on his past experience as the Commander of the Royal Australian Navy's Submarine Squadron to present on "Bringing the Deep Sea Ashore". Thursday 1 Oct 18.30 on Zoom.... The invitation is attached. $10 for an entire Covid-household. Funds will go towards the International Yachting Fellowship of Rotarians' Tall Ship sailing program for disadvantaged youth.
