22.01.2022 Guest speaker, Associate Professor Michael Johnson (AM) is a founding Director on the Board of The Fred Hollows Foundation and is currently a director. The Fred Hollows Foundation was founded in 1993 as a small Australian not-for-profit organization, and has grown to become an unstoppable force in the fight to prevent avoidable blindness and restore eyesight for the world’s most vulnerable people. The foundation now works across 25 countries, including Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Cambodia, and Vietnam, and has restored the sight of over 2.5 million people worldwide.

20.01.2022 The Anniversary Dinner was held at Bonnie Doon Golf Club where Rotarians from District 9675, past and present Maroubra Rotarians, members from other Clubs, local politicians, guest speakers and family and friends celebrated Rotary Club of Maroubra’s 60 years of service.

17.01.2022 It was great to catch up with friends after a three month break from face-to-face Rotary Club of Maroubra meetings. President Vivienne handed over the presidency to Simon for the 2020-2021 year.

05.01.2022 Rotary Club of Maroubra welcomes Matt Stacey as our newest member.

05.01.2022 OUR ROTARY MEETINGS ARE BACK AT THE JUNIORS!! After a break from face-to-face meetings at The Juniors in Kingsford, the Club is back meeting on Monday nights, socially distanced of course. There will be great guest speakers and we always have a laugh so please make a bit of effort and pop in. Our next meeting is Monday 19th October, 6.50pm for 7.00pm in The Glass Room on level 1 at the Juniors in Kingsford.

02.01.2022 Congratulations to Bruce Macarthur who received a Kingsford Smith Community Service Award from Matt Thistlethwaite MP. For his services over many years to Rotary and the community Bruce has been recognised with three Rotary Paul Harris Fellow pins and a Centurion pin. Since 2011 he has been instrumental in organising over 20 Mental Health First Aid Courses with the Rotary Clubs of Maroubra and Randwick.
