24.01.2022 New Years Eve and it was time to farewell 2019 with breakfast out at our Rotary Youth Camp. Wishing you a healthy, safe and happy 2020.

24.01.2022 What an achievement. What's your new years resolution?

22.01.2022 We had a great turn out of Rotarians, friends and families on Wednesday night for our Christmas dinner at the Rotary Youth Camp. A fantastic evening with great food and wonderful atmosphere.

19.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Albany Port's on going youth programme, headed up by Geoff Inman, recently sponsored two more candidates for the Rypen course in Perth. In the photos Jack Wearing and Ella Finn are presented with their Rypen certificates by President Bill Hollingworth. Both Ella and Jack are Police Rangers and attend Saint Joseph's school in Albany. We wish them both the very best for the future and hope that we might see them again as Rotoractors or Rotarians!

18.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Albany Port has supported Friends of the Western Ground Parrot previously. Recent bushfires have critically endangered those birds which may remain, and now a fundraising effort is underway to provide equipment to monitor and determine if any of these birds have survived these fires. If you would like to support this effort with a donation, the link is https://www.givenow.com.au//findingandprotectingthelastwil

18.01.2022 Rotary Club of Albany Port member John Lightfoot has been in the Northern Territory recently and sent this photo. John's caption read "A relic of the Spirit of Youth after 33 kms over 11.25 hours with 4 litres of water drunk and total elevation climbed of 1100 metres. Hard day, relentless hard rocky going underfoot all day" Who said Rotarians are getting too old?

17.01.2022 District 9465 held the South Coast Assembly in Katanning last Sunday. The Rotary Club of Albany Port was represented by ten members who made the two hour trip up to attend the Assembly. We were able to catch up with the latest information from District headquarters and meet District Governor elect, Patricia Schraven in person. We look forward to a strong year in Rotary.

09.01.2022 A woodcutting busy bee at the Barnesby farm in Torbay. With Rotary teamwork we reduced a large pile to half its size. The firewood will be sold for fund raising. Rotary fellowship in action!

06.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Albany Port has been active in fundraising efforts with the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle.

04.01.2022 The bushfire crisis in Australia is unprecedented! Rotary Clubs across Australia are working hard to provide relief and assistance during these horrific bushfi...res. It's easy to feel that there's not much we, as individuals, can do to help. But every dollar that can be put toward helping others can help in significant ways. Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) Bushfire appeals is taking donations and the funds raised will go directly where they're needed most. You can donate here https://rawcs.org.au/disasters/ Donations to RAWCS are Tax Deductible and funds will be utilised in the Community by Rotary Clubs where needed. Over 4.4 million hectares/10 million acres has been burnt, there has been loss of life, estimated 500 million native animals have died and countless homes have been destroyed. To put into scale the extent of what has burnt, everything within the red box that's overlayed the cities of New York and London has been burnt so far. Please consider donating.

03.01.2022 Rotary Club of Albany Port is happy to help Food Bank each Christmas with items donated by members. President Ian Moss is seen here delivering our donations for this Christmas to Rod Pfeiffer from Food Bank.

03.01.2022 Rotary Club of Albany Port raffled a trailer load of donated firewood to raise funds for our upcoming year's projects. Rotarians braved the cold weather to sell tickets outside Reeves in Albany. Our sincere thanks again to the management of Reeves for their cooperation and permission to use the location.

01.01.2022 We recently commenced recladding of the Nissen hut at our Big Grove Youth Camp. A grant from the Community Facilities Assistance Fund - Covid 19 via the City of Albany has enabled the club to go ahead with a much needed project. The photograph shows the Nissen hut recladding partially complete with the two end walls and flashing soon to be replaced. The Nissen hut has great use as an internal space available for indoor activities at night or during inclement weather. Our busy camp is a great example of Rotary at work.
