25.01.2022 As Rotarians we work hard to ensure that those in need are given opportunities to succeed in life. Its important to remember those who gave their lives to give us the opportunity to do so. To all those men and women and their families Lest we forget.

23.01.2022 Today we had the pleasure of loading a trailer full of soft toys to Giving Grannies Inc. These are already being distributed to groups working with kids in need in the south east corner of QLD.

19.01.2022 We received this email from a recipient organisation of some shirts and shoes we recently donated in the SE corner of QLD. "I would like to take this time to thank you for the generous donations to Ipswich Housing and Support Services Inc. While we initially had worries about how we would store the huge amount of shoes and T-shirts you kindly gave us, we were amazed at how quickly the people of Ipswich responded.... We passed on shoes to our Emergency Relief customers, people sleeping rough and people who were generally finding things tough. Being able to buy shoes is something I take for granted, but you could see the change it made to peoples days when they could take away a couple of pairs of shoes they otherwise could not afford. Again, thank you so much. " It was our pleasure to help.

18.01.2022 A great days packing with 2 x 20 foot containers being prepared for shipment. of these is heading to PNG filled with syringes and hospital beds. The syringes are to be used in a cervical cancer vaccination program. PDG of District 6400 George Grant is leading the charge on this project. 17.01.2022 January was a much busier month than we expected. We have given away 10 Baby Welcome Kits, 6 prams, 6 cots/porta cots and 17 other items of baby furniture or e...quipment. We have also distributed many car loads of assorted items - clothing, toys, books, etc - the list goes on. Over a 1000 baby bottles/teats and 600 baseball caps have been passed on to a number of groups, once again thank you to Rotary for these. See more

15.01.2022 Its always a pleasure working with other local organisations who are directly helping those in need. We cant always send our donations overseas and to be able to utilise local groups who are at the coal face of many of societies problems makes a whole lot of sense and ensures good donations do not end up being thrown away.

14.01.2022 Friends, we have been donated approximately 4 semi-truck loads of syringes, baby bottles and other items from a warehouse in South East Brisbane. Please spread the word that we are trying to find a semi driver who may be kind enough to donate his truck and time to helping us move these items to our distribution warehouse in Oxley from Slacks Creek. If you know someone that can help please contact us ASAP. I am sure all of you understand the good that can come from such a generous donation. 08.01.2022 In November 2015, a team of six volunteers, led by Leo Smith from the Rotary Club of Mooloolaba, travelled to Choiseul Province in the Solomon Islands. The tea...m carried out work at Sasamunga Hospital and Sasamunga Secondary School, Choiseul Province. Sasamunga is a three hour boat ride from Gizo. At Sasamunga Hospital, Choiseul Province they installed three, 5000 litre water tanks witb tank stands and guttering/downpipe, and they built a one pedestal toilet. Six volunteers from Australia and one Rotary volunteer (president Yolonde Semi) from the Gizo Rotary club all took part. Around eight local community people assisted with concreting, and with building the tank stands and toilet. The team was also able to connect up three other existing hospital tanks that were not in use. This was vital work as the hospital had run out of water. In total, the team installed three x 5000 litre new tanks and connected another 10,000 litres of capacity from the existing tanks. This will ensure the hospital has sufficient capacity to see them through future dry periods. The single pedestal toilet was built for use by the hospital community. RAWCS Project 6/2012-13

08.01.2022 Something so simple yet something so important. Putting a smile on kids faces for xmas with a donation of soft toys that came into the warehouse. Some being distributed through the South East corner of QLD and some heading west to the drought stricken areas of QLD.

07.01.2022 Announcement Time During the christmas break the Rotary Aid Team had a well earned rest from packing, sorting and distributing from our warehouse in Oxley. Focus instead turned to the guys behind the computers who have worked hard to develop our very own web page. The webpage will allow us to provide information on what we have done and what we are going to be doing in the near future as well as giving people easy access to the RAWCS Northern donation page. It is now fully operational and you can check it out by following the link below. We are still gathering more information for the site and will continue to update it in the coming weeks and months. If you have a story or information that you believe might be of use please feel free contact us (via the website).

06.01.2022 The guys were recently asked to pick up a couple of microscopes when they were collecting beds from one of the hospitals last week. Thinking this was an easy job they said no problems.......until they saw the size of them. These will make a fine addition to any hospital in the pacific islands.
