25.01.2022 Welcome to our latest bulletin #9. You can find this bulletin link below or by going to our website eclublatitude38.org.au and selecting the bulletin from the left hand side. Please feel free to forward on this email to your friends and family. ... We only have one more month before the Online Puzzle Raffle is drawn. I know everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment but I ask that you consider purchasing some tickets in our online raffle. The online puzzle prizes are fantastic and all money raised will go towards our two overseas projects, one in Cambodia and one in Vietnam. While here in Australia we face restrictions, loss of jobs and concern for our family and friends, this nowhere near compares to what is happening in Cambodia and Vietnam at the moment with no government support available and relying totally on organisations like ours

11.01.2022 Rotarians are People of Action. We see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change - across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. MUNA helps Rotary clubs meet their obligations of service and contribution to the development of our community's young people.

08.01.2022 Outbound Student Return and Quarantine - JOB DONE - update from our member Barry All RYEV outbound students are home safe and well. The 3 D9820 students returned last week and are now completing their mandatory hotel quarantine one in Melbourne, one in Sydney and one in Adelaide. We can all be satisfied that their host families and our exchange partners have always had the welfare of everyone as their priority, sometimes in very difficult circumstances. The Rotary infrastru...cture is what makes our program both different and importantly much better than the alternatives. Our travel providers have been able to get every student home with minimal changes to their originally planned return flights. The chaos in the travel industry caused by a lack of flights including into Australia and the frequently changing border closures has required a 24/7 commitment. Anywhere Travel, in particular Rochelle Bird, managed our student’s return.

06.01.2022 Thankyou to all of the generous people who donated to this quick fundraiser to help a young man named Pheap receive life saving medical treatment in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I am glad to say that Pheap is now back home in Siem Reap and is doing very well. Thanks again everyone for supporting us and Green Gecko in Siem Reap, Cambodia Green Gecko Project

05.01.2022 Urgent Fundraiser to assist a young man in Cambodia For those who know our club you will be aware that we have ties going back a long way to a worthy organisation in Siem Reap, Cambodia called Green Gecko. Sadly one of the young men who has grown up though Green Gecko has been rushed to Phnom Penh after suffering breathing difficulties and further life saving treatment was not available in Siem Reap. Many of our eClub Latitude 38 members have already donated and I am hoping some of our friends in Rotary can also spare a few dollars. I would like to transfer the funds late this week so if you are able let me know, and I will give you our clubs bank account details.

03.01.2022 If you'd like to join us for an online meeting, send a message and we will be in touch.
