24.01.2022 Year 10 Rotary Youth Driver Awareness | 2020 https://www.investigator.sa.edu.au/year-10-rotary-youth-dr/ #yourbestself #investigatorcollege

23.01.2022 It was a great pleasure to welcome students from Victor Harbor High School to the 2020 Rotary Youth Driver Awareness program today, celebrating the milestone of... the 2000th student to complete this program. Unfortunately young people continue to be over represented in road deaths and serious injuries, especially in rural communities. Thank you to Rotary Club of Encounter Bay for your support of this program and to all of the volunteers involved in making it a success. Our Young people are so important and we want them to be safe behind the wheel, and as passengers in any car. #SafetyMatters #CaringCommunity See more

14.01.2022 Our vibrant Port Elliot Rotary Market is a popular gathering place on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of every month. Historically Markets were the heart of our communi...ties. Now we have big shopping centres which sadly lack any feeling of community. At the Port Elliot Market we have available a wide-ranging choice of quality hand-made craft, jewellery, clothing, baked goods and artwork as well as general bric a brac including toys and books and plants. Why would you want to wander listlessly around a big shopping centre when you can buy all these amazing products at the Market while enjoying the atmosphere and community spirit. There is superb coffee, Sicilian Street Food and for the younger family members shaved ice flavoured treats. At our next Market on Saturday 5th December, we are excited to have with us the excellent and wonderful Goolwa Concert Band playing! Don’t miss out. See more

12.01.2022 Last Thursday, the Dinner Meeting at Crown Hotel, Coach Sue Vincent and Centre Manager Kerry Pomery gave us a presentation on Southern Fleurieu Riding for the Disabled previously known as RDA Victor Harbor. Refer to RCEB Website for more photos. https://www.rotaryencounterbay.org.au/gall/club-activities/

12.01.2022 It was a busy night packed with happenings when the Rotary Club of Encounter Bay held it’s weekly meeting on Thursday 17th October at the Crown Hotel. Club members welcomed guests Dini White, District 9500 Assistant Governor, and Julie Irwin, President of the Rotary Club of Victor Harbor. Jeanette Rich was inducted and welcomed as a new member of the club. IPP Alan Mullins and PP Barrey Niven were honoured and recognised as Paul Harris Fellows. Finally the club celebrated its 41st Birthday with a special cake, made by Anastasia Lentakis which was ceremoniously jointly cut by Assistant Governor Dini White and Glen Goldsack, a founding Charter member of the club. A great evening and celebration of 41 years of contributing to our local community, and overseas.

10.01.2022 A very large gathering of members, visitors and special guests attended our meeting at the Crown Hotel. First off the rank for the night was the induction of David Virgin as Club President for the remainder of the Rotary Year. We then welcomed Mel White and Lynne Arbon from Southern Volunteering (SA) Inc. Mel gave an interesting and informative talk about the work done by Southern Volunteering in helping both volunteers looking to provide their time and organisations needing volunteer support. As a Volunteer Resource Centre it in effect acts as a broker, matching volunteers to organisations.

09.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Encounter Bay had a relaxed gathering of members for its meeting held at the Grosvenor Hotel Thursday 12th November. Ashley Porter from Coastlines Magazine shared with us tales from his career as a journalist for major media publications. His focus was on sport which gave him the opportunity to meet many sporting luminaries and his passion for sport still shines through. He and his wife Jenny now publish the Coastlines Magazine which they distribute across the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. They focus on people, places and events, not politics or controversies; just positive stories that they hope will inspire entertain and inform, and Ashley is certainly now a very committed and respected member of the local community.

05.01.2022 Moira Jenkins. Mayor, City of Victor Harbor opening the 2020 Rotary Youth Driver Awareness Program today.
