24.01.2022 Time capsule The Rotary Club of Foster together with the 150th Anniversary Committee and the Foster Historical Society are giving the time capsule a makeover in readiness for its’ burial at the Foster Historical Society later this year. The capsule will be exhumed in 2070, Foster's bi-centenary. Envelopes ($20- each) are available from the Foster Post Office or any Rotarian. (plus maybe a picture of the envelope). Many of us contributed to the capsule when it was first int...erred in 1977 and there was much joy when the capsule was exhumed earlier this year before Covid hit. Make sure you secure your envelope and ask family or your local organizations to contribute. See more

21.01.2022 Certainly, in the most difficult moments of life you realise who are true friends, or people who really appreciate you Unfortunately, most friends leave you a...nd send you a "like" but they don't really read... I have decided to publish this message in support of a very special person who fought to the end with firmness and energy. Now, I'm looking at those who will have time to read this post to the end. This is a little test, just to see who reads and who shares without reading.. If you've read everything, select "like" so I can put a thank you on your profile. Cancer is very invasive and destructive to our body.. Even after finishing treatment, the body is still struggling with trying to reconstruct all the damage caused by the radiation &/or chemotherapy. It's a very long and painful process to fully heal. Please, in honor of a relative or friend who died, is fighting cancer, or even had cancer but was cured; copy and paste this message... Everyone says, "If you need anything, don't hesitate to call me, I'll be there to help you." I'd like to see who bothers to put this message on their page... It's a simple copy & paste.. It's nice to know who I can count on.. Write "Done" in the comments if you do.. Cancer sucks.. Indeed, big time.. done Posting this for a friend. I have lost friends and family members to cancer and know several who are fighting it at the moment. See more

18.01.2022 On Sunday I led a commercial group from "Lifes an Adventure" on the Hoddle Mountain Trail. Walkers from Melbourne, Geelong and NSW were amazed by the beauty of ...South Gippsland. The Hoddle Mountain Trail was an alternate walk to those planned at Wilsons Promontory National Park, as all northern section Prom walks were closed, due to an ecological burn conducted by ParksVic to control the spread of coastal teatree on the Yanakie Isthmus. South Gippsland community volunteers from Fish Creek Landcare and Development Group and Foster Rotary Club and others have created a wonderful walk on public land which links to the Great Southern Rail Trail.
