19.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Mount Isa were lucky enough to receive a grant through the Mount Isa City Councils Community Grants Program. We used the money to purchase a Honda generator, cover, locks and jerry can from Bike & Rider for our BBQ trailer. We are now set and ready to begin our fundraising and community service efforts. 15.01.2022 The Harley Owners Group Mount Isa Chapter is holding it’s annual Toy Run again this year. This year they are collecting toys and donations for Ronald McDonald House. This charity is close to the hearts of many families throughout the North West. The Ronald McDonald House in Townsville has cared for many families of sick children in Mount Isa and surrounds. The Rotary Club of Mount Isa was happy to jump on board and kickstart the fundraising with a donation of $1000. ... 13.01.2022 Now more than ever before is the time to check on your mates to make sure they are doing OK. With the ever changing world that we are living in there has been a significant increase in mental health issues not only in Australia but around the world. It is especially tough for those that find themselves in lockdown, isolation or quarantine. There are also members of our frontline staff that are doing it tough and really need our support rather than our anger and criticisms... - everyone is just doing the best they can do in a space that is a very different ‘normal’ for most people. 12.01.2022 Today we were one of a group of lucky recipients of a Mount Isa City Council Grant. The grant will be used to purchase a generator, cover, lock and jerry can for our BBQ Trailer. This means we will not have to rely on others for our power when we are out and about fundraising or serving our community!
