23.01.2022 Time to step up to the plate Rotarians . . .

22.01.2022 Did you know that this is Rotary Centurion Week?

19.01.2022 A MUST SEE FILM. What a great way to better understand our First Nation Peoples and to celebrate NAIDOC WEEK. Commencing Sunday 8th November 2020, we are showin...g HOMELAND STORY each night from 7:00pm ADST Sunday to Friday - from the comfort of your home. And tickets are just $10 with all proceeds going to the Donydji Homeland. Book your evening via: https://www.trybooking.com/BMDKH We are extremely fortunate to have a special guest join us each evening: Dr Neville White, Producer Glenda Hambly or Producer David Rapsey for the post film Q&A session. This is just one of our many testimonials which explains why the film is so special: "I don't think you can completely think it over, there are moments and episodes that amaze you beyond your mind. I never understood how important it is to know not only your ancestors, but also your land. I'm impressed with how Aboriginal people treat their country, how much they care, how much they respect, how much they love it. Growing up in a place where most people only care to consume and don't give back or don't think enough about what would happen if they do something, don't worry about the consequences for their actions, I never knew you could treat "inanimate objects" as something that can be hurt. This documentary is educational, there are things said and shown that touch you, that make you cry, that prove there's another way to live. It's not about having a house, it's not about your career or buying a new gadget, it's about being pure in the heart and having good intentions. It is that simple that sometimes you forget about it. I think we all should learn from Aboriginal people how to treat the world around us, our past and future. Thank you again for the opportunity to watch it and to learn from it." Diana (Russia) Tickets are just $10 with all proceeds going to the Rotary supported Donydji Community to fund Joanne to finish her teaching qualification. (You will meet Joanne in the film) Book your evening via: https://www.trybooking.com/BMDKH We do hope you can join us and would love you to share this invitation far and wide with your Facebook community. Any questions, please email Sandi at [email protected].

13.01.2022 This morning can I urge every Rotarian in the World where Rotary is declining to read Mark Huddleston book Creatures of Habit, especially chapter Chapter 10 - T...he Epithany starting on page 45. I quote "If we really want fix our membership problem; our obsession with meetings is the single biggest issue we need to address." he goes onto say "While meetings remain at the centre of our Rotary universe, we will continue to lose relevance, and we will continue to lose members. This a brilliant book and I recommend it is read by every Rotarian in our organisation, let's be the People of Action who are determined to refresh our Rotary for the 21st Century.

04.01.2022 Our latest project is now live! Enabling and embedding hygiene and sanitation practices early has long lasting benefits to health. We need 2000 toiletry kits f...or 2000 children in the Northern Territory. Can your club, cluster or district help? Share the flyer below to find out. #2000Kitsfor2000Kids #endingtrachoma #ThanksRotary
