25.01.2022 We have welcomed another former Rotary Youth Exchange Student to the 9640 YEP committee A huge welcome to Mindi Devine! Mindi was recently re-inducted into th...e Rotary Club of Warwick Sunrise, but her ties to Rotary and Youth Exchange go a long way back! Mindis grandparents hosted exchange students, both of her aunts were exchange students (to Sweden and the USA), and Mindi went as an exchange student to Windsor in Ontario, Canada in 2008 at the age of 15. Mindi has remained connected to her friends, family and Rotarians in Canada, having been back four times since returning. She also remained strongly connected to her sponsor club, being first inducted as a member in 2016 by her Canadian clubs youth director while she was visiting Warwick. After a brief hiatus from Rotary after leaving Warwick for work in 2018, Mindi has recently returned to Warwick and rejoined the club - and luckily for us the Rotary YEP committee! Welcome to the team Mindi, its fantastic to have you on board We now have five former Rotary YEP students on the 9640 YEP Committee - Mindi, John Campbell, Guy Murphy, Zoe Ross and Kathryn Koch - which shows how strong the ties to Rotary become from the youth exchange experience. #rotaryyouthexchange #rotary #rotary9640

11.01.2022 building connections.// I had the honour of speaking at Rotary Club of Warwick Sunrise breakfast meeting last Thursday morning at Warwicks Gardens Galore. Ro...tary International has been an incredible support to me in my youth and twenties. I had the opportunity to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) as part of Rotary District 9640 back in 2012, go back as a leader for many years after and become a member of the Rotaract Club of Warwick for District 9640 Rotaract afterwards. I still have many friends from those days. I had some amazing experiences, listened to some of the best speakers in the country, learnt about myself, grew as a person, had great opportunities and met some of the most incredible people during that time. Thankyou so much to our local club for sponsoring me many years ago as it has shaped so many aspects of my life and I feel so many youth in this region would benefit from these opportunities. I am excited to bridge and connect another close and ongoing relationship with the Warwick Show and Rodeo Society Inc and to see what unfolds in the future for our service clubs, major events and local region.
