19.01.2022 Last Thursday with the lockdown finally over, the Rotary Overseas Recycled Playgrounds (RORP) RC Mount Martha team and Sam from Rotary Club of Flemington Kensin...gton were finally able to load some playgrounds into a container bound for Sri Lanka at Rotary Donations in Kind West Footscray. On Saturday, members from Rotary Clubs of Mount Martha, Yarraville Rotary and Rotary Club of Ivanhoe as well as the indefatigable Sam from Rotary Club of Flemington Kensington loaded another container which will leave here next month. There will be so many smiling faces next year when these playgrounds are re-assembled in Sri Lanka. #peopleofaction #rotaryoverseasrecycledplaygrounds #RORP See more
14.01.2022 RPM's homebase is Donations In Kind in Melbourne, and one of the regular tasks is sorting goods(in particular medical supplies) for shipping overseas. A recent ...40ft container packed and sent to Kiribati has just arrived and it's fabulous to see our hard work getting where the need is greatest. We love this photo of Tobwaraoi community members assisting the RC Tarawa to unpack the container - no forklifts by the way, just muscles and teamwork! (Photo Credits: RC Tarawa) See more

08.01.2022 Members of the Bayside Covenant of Churches and Rotary Donations in Kind made a special delivery to our staff in the mental health unit last week. They dropped ...off 'gratitude bags' filled with self-care items, as a token of their appreciation for the work the mental health team do, and continue to do throughout the pandemic. Word spread in the Bayside community about the gratitude project, resulting in the creation of over 1800 bags for our staff and staff at other hospitals. A huge thank you to Rotary and their partnerships, for their ongoing kindness and support to our mental health unit and patients. See more

03.01.2022 Rotary International stretches across the world to create lasting impact to those who need us most. When we network, collaborate & take action together, so muc...h can be achieved as seen here. These ‘Days For Girls’ kits will accompany heaps of medical & disability equipment & 50 chairs donated by ‘Wheelchairs for Kids’ that now will head to Cambodia to change lives forever. Tomorrow the doors on the 40ft container will be locked at DIK & off it goes. An International Project such as this, takes an entire team to bring it to fruition. One Rotary Club will be become the Project Manager & we thank the RC of Keilor East for being that Club. Funding needs to be found. We thank the RC of Prahran for your contribution. It also takes a huge amount of ‘sweat equity’ & we thank Rotarians & associates for doing this hard work. The consignee of this container is the In-Country Manager of ‘Safe Haven Medical Outreach’, Jessica Whitney. Jessica is also a Charter Member of our global Rotary Club here in D9800...the Rotary Passport Club of Melbourne! None of this D9800 International Project would have happened without Rotarians putting Service Above Self. The beautiful people of Cambodia will be so thankful that you have cared enough to make a difference in their lives. Together we Unite!
