21.01.2022 Welcome to Rotary's Centenary of "Doing Good" DownUnder!! And its time to announce a set of new commemorative coins that will put Rotary into the hands of every... Australian in our centenary year and beyond. The Royal Australian Mint has announced that we will launch a pair of coins in 2021 for our centenary. A $1 coin will go into general circulation and also be available in a commemorative collectors pack for $15. A special minting of a silver $5 coin will be available for $100 marking 100 years of Rotary service and launching into the next 100 years. Ideal for collections, gifts, thankyou’s for speakers, Rotary archives, memorabilia and more. Many thanks to years of hard work from Hugh Bucknall (Founder R100 Campaign) has now paid off. The new coins will be launched in Sydney on February 4th along with a set of commemorative stamps.

15.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Northbridge is currently staging two Christmas events at Northbridge Plaza a Christmas Raffle and Tree of Joy gift donation for children ...as illustrated in the photographs below. The public response to both events has been heart-warming. The Christmas raffle has raised over $6,000 - a few days out from the drawing of prizes, while the Tree of Joy has attracted many gifts for those young children whose stockings at Christmas would otherwise be empty. A great team effort from all those rotary members who participated in these two events, ably leads by Sally O’Neill (the raffle) and Eleanor Chevor (Tree of Joy). If you would like to purchase tickets for our Christmas Raffle then contact Fay on 0411502002. The first prize is a $3,500 LG OLED 55 TV. There are 22 other prizes. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. The Draw will be Sunday 20 December 2020 at 3:00pm.

09.01.2022 Northbridge Rotary Club, Rotary District 9685, is organising a community collection and distribution of non-perishable food items on Saturday 26 September. Thos...e who wish to contribute can deliver their food items to St. Marks Church Hall at 1A Malacoota Road, Northbridge, NSW, between 9am and 5pm on 26 September. Northbridge Rotary is working with several charities, including OzHarvest and local charities StreetWork and Taldumunde Northside, who will distribute the food to the needy and homeless, especially those affected by the COVID-19 lockdown. Non-perishable food items include tinned and bottled products (e.g. vegetables, soup, beans, Vegemite, water) and unopened packaged foods (e.g. pasta, noodles, rice, biscuits). All items must have unexpired dates. This is a FOOD ONLY collection so items such as clothing and bedding etc. will not be accepted. #Rotary #RotaryOpensOpportunities #DoingGood
