25.01.2022 This is the latest information from Kla Kamum. Things are looking close to completion. Thank you to Rotary for the District Grant and supporters who enable this work to get across the line. What a huge difference to hygiene in the this village.
23.01.2022 In our Covid safe setting at Mansfield House tonight we had much to celebrate. We started the evening with the manager of @Coles Greenhills drawing the winner in our Trolley Dash. A very excited Julie Dixon will be grabbing as many groceries as possible in 3 minutes next Tuesday morning. Second prize, a $100 gift voucher to Coles was won by Therese Mallick. Third prize, a gift voucher for $100 to spend at Coles was won by Sereana Patmore. A delicious fourth prize of a $100 g...ift voucher at Darrell Lea Chocolates Maitland was won by Melanie Hicks. Congratulations to all winners, everyone who bought tickets and especially to Chris Vollmer and his team of ticket sellers for their hard work in promoting, organising and selling the tickets. The local #community are the beneficiaries of the hard work by #Rotary.

21.01.2022 Putting the dash into our annual Trolley Dash, Julie Dixon set speed records gathering as many groceries as possible in a 3 minute time frame. Julie was the winner of our Coles Trolley Dash, drawn last week. Congratulations everyone on a successful promotion.
20.01.2022 The Rotary Club of East Maitland certainly had a busy day supporting the community across two important projects on Friday. Supporting the police is a privilege at any time but especially when inviting the youth to engage with law enforcement and build positive relationships. PDG Brian Coffey commented on how great it was to be involved with Police, Francis Greenway High, Maitland Council, NHW, Salvation Army and other youth groups today regarding the new Woodberry skate par...k. Our club also supported mental health month with a BBQ at NCIG. Another day promoting service in our community by the Rotary Club of East Maitland.
19.01.2022 Ticking all the boxes at Rotary tonight! To ensure the safety of all Rotarians tonight’s Rotary meeting focussed on compliance with correct usage of equipment. Thank you Brian and Carol Coffey for thoroughly explaining the correct procedures and protocols associated with marquee and trailer setup and packing away.
19.01.2022 Demonstrating the Rotary Motto of Service Above Self has been Rotarian Wolf Sturmer, whose commitment to raising funds for worthy charities has been inspiring. Wolf, together with members of the Rotary Club of East Maitland Inc, has run the ever popular Meat Raffles at The Windsor Castle Hotel on a Friday night which support a selected charity each month. This month’s charity, Ovarian Cancer Research has benefitted enormously from the generosity of patrons at the Windsor... Castle Hotel with a record number of tickets being sold last week at the NRL Indigenous Boxing Tournament screening. This week there has again been tremendous support for the Hotel’s patrons to purchase raffle tickets. A big thank you to all the patrons for their support. The Rotary Club of East Maitland Inc thanks Wolf for his dedication, the Windsor Castle Hotel Management and Staff for allowing our Rotary club to run the weekly raffles and providing the Joker Draw prizes, Neal Eastley’s Butchers for the wonderful meat trays on offer and most importantly, the wonderful Patrons of the Windsor Castle Hotel for their valued support each week in purchasing the raffle tickets. #TheWindsorCastleHotel
19.01.2022 We were busy little bin chickens this morning at the Sparke Helmore Triathlon, gathering discarded bottles for our Rotary Hands of Hope project. Thank you H Events for thinking of us. Every bottle or can counts.

17.01.2022 A wonderful evening of fellowship was celebrated at our Rotary meeting tonight. Following our much anticipated Trolley Dash winner being announced, we enjoyed a meal together followed by a Behind the Badge presentation by one of the true gentlemen of the club. John Pace has lived a life of service to sport, Scouts, Rotary and his family. He is one of the Club’s quiet achievers and truely encapsulates our motto of Service above Self. We also covered in detail the many e...vents and activities with which the club will be involved over coming months, with all of us hoping for a Covid free reign. The evening finished off with an update from Foundation Director, Brian, on the work being done in Cambodia as part of the District Grant. Many club members indicated a willingness to jump on a plane and visit the projects once travel resumes. We, as a club, look forward to working together as a volunteer group to bring about positive change in the world around us.

13.01.2022 What a great night at Rotary tonight back at our old venue The George. A great meal was followed by inspirational words from our Area Governor, Christine Walmsley, who outlined her role and identified opportunities for us, as a Maitland group of clubs, to celebrate Rotary’s centenary. We will have much to celebrate in coming months as we also prepare for our Club’s 60th birthday.
12.01.2022 The culmination of weeks of hard work by our club members resulted in Julie Dixon being given one week to train for her trolley dash. Well done Chris Vollmer and his team of workers, especially Mike Goddard who clocked up the most hours in ticket sales.

09.01.2022 Rotary has a proud history of supporting healthy communities through vaccines. So its worth considering a new challenge and our role in supporting our local communities.
