29.03.2022 Despite cold and windy weather there was a large crowd of people attending the Huon Show. It was great to share the Labor stall with my colleagues Julie Collins... MP, David O'Byrne MP & Alison Standen MP. I had lots of conversations with constituents and received a lot of support for Labor’s Aged Care Act Now petition, and my petition to save Palliative Care Tasmania - which is facing losing its funding next year. I enjoyed meeting members of various local community groups, including Rotary Club of Huon Valley Inc and Bikers Against Child Abuse International (BACA) - a worldwide motorcycle club founded 1995 in Utah, USA which works with public authorities to help provide a safe environment for children who are victims of abuse. All in all a great day at one of Tasmania’s best rural shows.

25.01.2022 Our 10th Annual Rotary Youth Driver Awareness training day held on Friday 23rd August at the Huonville PCYC was a great success, with 145 students from four Huon Valley high schools in attendance. We would like to thank the Bendigo Bank and Huon Valley Financial Services Ltd for their continued sponsorship of this event, and all of the volunteers and presenters who helped to make the day happen. Thanks also to Mandi Wheatley of Huon Valley Council who came to talk about the Gearing Up Program.

23.01.2022 August is Membership Month, a good time to let you know about Rotary. This explanation is decades old. Some things in Rotary last the test of time, the reason we do what we do being one of them. #serviceaboveself #principles
