24.01.2022 To our Ladies in Rotary have a Happy International Womens day

22.01.2022 Well today was a milestone event for us...! 150 steak burgers sold, 110 sausage in blankets and completely sold out of soft drinks and water. So what, you say! well it was a done in three hours at the Autism Awareness luncheon held in the Town hall forecourt as a benefit fund raiser for the South Burnett Autism Awareness Support Group. We raised $1078 in our food sales and $867 from a raffle of donated products and good from local businesses. ... A major contributor was #Swickers who donated $500 as a seed fund to allow us to purchase food steaks, salads and bread rolls along with other items needed to make the day a wonderful success. Great work team, you were outstanding and most importantly great ambassadors for Rotary.

16.01.2022 A new president and board for a new year! Congratulations David Black. May your year be memorable and more importantly.. enjoyable.

16.01.2022 At last nights meeting we welcomed Peter and Heather Rogers from Melbourne. Peter spoke to us regarding a project that will see a MF tractor being refurbished and sent, together with a planter to the village of Chikumbe in the African state of Zambia. One of the crops grown there are ground nuts or better know to us here as peanuts! Hence his visit. The tractor and planter will help the local village economy by renting out the tractor and planter to subsistence farmers so as to speed up the planting process from Ox drawn plows and hand planting to a speeder and more efficient method.

15.01.2022 Tonight was a special night for the club. We had the great pleasure of welcoming back a new old member into Rotary. Mark Huston was inducted into the ranks of the Kingaroy Rotary Club as the worlds newest Rotarian tonight. We welcome Mark and hope that his stay will be long and enjoyable And look forward to working with him in serving our community

15.01.2022 #Barbecue Raises $2000 For Autism ( Southburnett.com 24 April) https://southburnett.com.au//barbecue-raises-2000-for-aut/ 24, 2019... A special lunch held in Kingaroy’s Glendon Street forecourt last Wednesday raised $2000 to help young local residents with autism. The South Burnett Autism Support Group (SBASG) and Kingaroy Rotary Club organised the event to mark Autism Month. Kingaroy Rotary club fired up the barbecues and served up burgers and sausages on bread between 11:00am and 2:00pm. They quickly found several hundred hungry customers, including Councillors and members of the public who had been attending the monthly South Burnett Regional Council meeting next door. There was also a raffle, and fudge sales from Sister Bake Co for those who wanted dessert. The Autism Support Group was formed by Jenny and Kurt Lutz 24 years ago when their son was diagnosed with autism. Jenny put out an appeal to other parents and quickly unearthed several other families facing the same issues. These days, the children of many of the group’s original members have matured into young adults. But they still have difficulties socialising, and undertaking many other activities many young adults take for granted. So SBASG has formed an Aspies group to help them get out and about, as well as give their parents some respite. Jenny said the Aspies group has now been involved in a variety of fun activities including ten pin bowling, go-karting and archery. A key aim of the lunch apart from raising awareness about autism was to raise extra funds for more outings in future. We don’t get any funding, Jenny said. So the money we’ve raised will go a long way, and we’re very thankful to everyone who helped us out today.

13.01.2022 Paid a first visit to our new Bunnings store and was very pleased to see that they have a defibrillator at the main entrance! So good to see businesses waking up to the benefits of have these life saving devises on hand. Well done Bunnings

12.01.2022 Thought we would share with all our followers out there. This is our kitchen on wheels. Its where all those yummy steak burgers, bacon and egg burgers, and sizzling sausages and onions are crafted and sold onto our myriads of happy customers.

08.01.2022 Neil Black, Ray Pitt, David Black, Kerry Heit and Vince Evans traveled to Murgon last night to attend the Rotary Club of Murgon's change over dinner. What a great night hosted by a great club. Thanks Murgon for inviting us along.

07.01.2022 Well today saw the Kingaroy Rotary Club chalk up another first! So what was so great about today you ask? Well Neil Black, Vince Evans and Ray Pitt loaded up and delivered 3560 recyclable glass bottles, plastic drinks containers and Aluminum cans. The staft at the Cherbourg drop off facility didn't blink an eye when we showed up with this large load and simply got into it. they were quick an thorough and we got it all sorted( pun intended) in no time at all! This sort of income to the club will help to assist with projects for our community and at the same time see valuable materials being repurposed.

05.01.2022 This weeks RYDA program was yet another Rotary partnership success. Year 11 Students from the communities of Kingaroy, Nanango and Murgon came together at the Kingaroy TAFE collage to participated in training and learning into how to be tomorrow’s better drivers. Yet another Annual community service that Rotary provides to our fellow community members.

01.01.2022 It was with great pleasure that, on behalf of Kingaroy Rotary Club, we handed over a cheque for $2000 to the South Burnett Autism Support group today. With us was Wendy Kruger, the main organiser for the event. Vince Evans Club treasurer, Mark Pitt SBRC CEO, Jenny Lutz and Serena Lindbergs spokespersons from the Autism support group... Congratulations and well done
