04.01.2022 What are you doing this coming long weekend & school holidays Why not visit the Upper Hunter On the way up, grab a coffee & breakfast at that small loca...l cafe... When you stop for lunch , spend some time visiting local artesians , you could buy your Christmas gifts in one go! Dinner is next; so many great restaurants, pubs & cafes to experience wonderful Hunter hospitality... After a big day, youll need somewhere to stay , visit one of the many fantastic camping sites in the Hunter or a locally-owned hotel . Dont forget to pick up your fruit & veggies fresh from the farm, and grab your bread, milk & eggs from a family-owned grocery store. Spend some time chatting with locals , listen to their stories, learn about our towns... If you can, why not grab an extra slab or two of bottled drinking water to leave at one of our towns...the need is beyond desperate for so many. Our communities are in desperate need. They need water, of course, but also need support; they need to know they arent alone Supporting them with normal things like lunch & shopping could quite literally keep small towns going. Bypass the big guy, spend your pennies where its valued so much more. If there is something on in your town over the holidays, drop it in comments so we all know! Lets look after each other, the people of the Hunter are world-class at doing just that
