12.01.2022 Apologies, we have been quiet for a while. As you can imagine, we haven't been able to meet regularly in person for quite a few months and also not able to have guest speakers. Our fearless now PAST PRESIDENT LILY CLARKE had an interesting and unique time as president, and saw out the last few months of her reign on line! This didn't stop her tireless work to finish the job she started; and finish well! Thank you for a fabulous & fruitful year under your presidency! In Lily'...s words: "The Members of the Rotary Club of North Sydney have come together this year as a team to help victims affected by drought, fires, floods and now a pandemic, in addition to the traditional areas of support we provide to people suffering from sickness, disability, and domestic violence and supporting youth within Australia and overseas. Our Strategic Plan for the year was 90% realised, unfortunately stopped short around mid-March when COVID-19 took over the movement of everyone’s life and made the world as we know it a very different place. What will the world be like when we come out the other end- who knows? Hopefully a world filled with kindness and support to all of humanity. Some say this is a reset button- ditch the old harmful ways and begin anew." See more

12.01.2022 As a follow-up of the previous post...Covid-19 has thrown us a curved ball, but no challenge has been too great for us! We are still able to achieve many things on our list- most notably to usher in our new president, TONI FIELD, to a year she'll never forget! Our CHANGEOVER LUNCHEON was well attended at the end of July. We were not supposed to mingle but still managed to have a classy event and a very enjoyable one at that! Thanks goes to Jenny Thomas for organising yet ano...ther classy and enjoyable event, even though we were not allowed to 'mingle'! Thanks also to Geoff Pritchard for MCing, Denise Ward (Crows Nest Community Centre) for showing us the impact volunteers have on our community, and all the donors of auction items. We were honoured to have Past District Governor Kalma McLennan, District Governor David Clark, Federal Member for North Sydney Trent Zimmerman, Mayor of North Sydney Jilly Gibson, and previous NS Club members attend. We presented Pride of Workmanship Awards to two very deserving recipients who run their own businesses. Rotarians Samantha and Jiji Lee (and Mal Sharpe who couldn't attend) were recipients of The Rotary Paul Harris Awards.
