24.01.2022 Rotary Inspirational Women’s Awards (RIWA) was launched today, the 5th August 2020 and nominations are now open. They close on the 23rd September 2020. The NSW Governor Margaret Beasley AC, QC is our Vice-Regal Patron. You and your colleagues will all know women who are quietly working to support others by doing Service Above Self? You would also have been constantly coming into contact with women who should be recognised for their quiet contribution in making their comm...unities better places to live. Over the last twelve (12) months we have seen women in our communities taking up the challenges that all have faced, drought, bushfires and now COVID -19. Think about these women that you know and nominate them, enabling them to be recognised for their contribution in support of their community. The Awards are open to all women above the age of 18 years of age across NSW and members of the public are encouraged to submit online nominations at www.riwa.com.au We look forward to receiving your nominations. There is more detailed information below about the Awards and where to go to make your nominations.

04.01.2022 Yesterday the Philippines was hit by the most powerful storm of the year. Super Typhoon Goni has caused mass destruction - ripping off roofs, taking out pow...er and damaging buildings. Families now face the double threat of having nowhere to live but potentially over-crowded evacuation centres, whilst also trying to protect themselves from coronavirus. It is very likely that we will provide emergency shelter to people who have lost their homes to the storm. We’re on high alert ready to respond. https://www.abc.net.au//ten-dead-as-2020s-stronge/12837524
