25.01.2022 The 2019 Rotary Police Awards, jointly hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Maroubra and Randwick was held at the Prince Henry Centre on 12 June. Over 120 guests attended the event to recognise the efforts of the all officers of the Eastern Beaches Command, and finalists and winners in several categories. We are very grateful to Randwick City Council and our local sponsors, McDonalds Eastern Suburbs and Clovelly Community Bank Branch for their very generous support of this event. This is our way of supporting the great work that the Police are doing, and letting them know that they have the support of our local community.

19.01.2022 Employment and Careers Expo for Indigenous Students BBQ on 31st May 2019 The South Eastern Sydney Local Health District sponsored an Employment and Careers Expo for indigenous students on Friday 31st May 2019 at Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick within the Edmund Blacket Function Rooms. The Expo was for indigenous students attending high schools in the area, and was a great opportunity for them to seek more information on employment within a health related field. The Rotary Club of Randwick provided the BBQ, BBQ utensils, gas and two persons to do the cooking of the sausages and onions. The SESLHD provided all the food, condiments, tables and chairs and two volunteers to help out with the BBQ and covered all the costs.

18.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Randwick (NSW Australia) which has been a great supporter of the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation, recently sponsored the Grant Awards. Wi...th their support we were able to purchase a portable venous ultrasound machine which will be used by Nursing Services throughout the entire hospital after hours. Having a dedicated ultrasound machine for this purpose will improve efficiency and care of our patients. A big thank you for this support from the Foundation, the Nursing Services and most importantly our patients.

10.01.2022 On Tuesday 27th August 2019 the Rotary Club of Randwick hosted an evening dinner on behalf of the Rotary Clubs of Botany Bay, Randwick and South Sydney to welcome District 9675 Governor Di North to eastern Sydney. Assistant Governor Hilary Lloyd with partner Mark Tanner also attended. The dinner was held in The Vu room on Level 4 of the Randwick (Labor) Club, with magnificent views of the Sydney skyline to the west and superb external catering by Elmo’s Restaurant. Di spoke o...n current Rotary topics and her husband David spoke about the work Interplast is doing with babies born with clefts in the Asia Pacific region. A good night enjoyed by all.
