20.01.2022 Why Use A Gudgeon With A Nylon Bush? We have found the steel pins commonly used on gate hinges tend to rust as the galvanised coating gets worn off. This increases friction and makes it difficult to open your gate. Eventually, this causes damage to the gate or breaks off completely. A nylon bush prevents this by protecting both the inside of the gate and the pin, ensuring the galvanised surface is not worn away, and keeping your gate swinging smoothly.... 15.01.2022 What Length Should Your Stay Be? The stay plays a critical part in the holding power of a fence strainer assembly. As a general rule of thumb, your stay should be at least 2 times the height of your fence. So if your fence is 1.2m (48) high, then your stay needs to be at least 3m (10’) long. 1.2m x 2 = 3m (10’).
