13.05.2022 Whilst it would be lovely to be on a bestseller list...my calculations of sales is vastly different. Sadly, the illusion to appear successful is a marketing ploy adopted by outlets to lure more sales and create validation. It is a pity that words in a book are often only celebrated when they are combined with celebrity, social media frenzy or bestseller illusion. Unfortunately, letting the words speak for themselves is not a very savvy business plan...so there you go. Of course, if you wish to purchase a copy via our website... www.rothwellpublishing.com

10.05.2022 Aloysius the Ram is still earning his keep, albeit currently in very small amounts. Was just sent this Youtube reading of it from Mr Demby in the USA. It all helps add to the sales and profits are still being donated to RCD Foundation-Robert Connor Dawes and to Peace of Mind Foundation for children's brain cancer research and support for those affected by brain cancer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VIXwzvKwoE

29.04.2022 GIVE AWAY!!! To help launch 'Chasing Normal,' five signed copies will be given away. Ends May 6th 2022. Of course, please feel free to like our Facebook and Instagram SITES and perhaps take a look at Chasing Normal by visiting our website. www.rothwellpublishing.com (Go to Chasing Normal page and click on 'Take a Gander') And, by the way... it's not just about cancer. Thank you!

15.04.2022 Postcards to the Front. On Anzac Day, Australia Post mark Australians' service with the release of three new postage stamps featuring postcards from the Stat...e Library Victoria collection. The cards, featuring the iconic Laughing Kookaburra, were produced by Valentine & Sons Publishing Co. and are held in the Shirley Jones Collection of Military Postcards at the Library. While patriotic, the postcards also convey a sadness and uncertainty felt by those with loved ones serving. Lest we forget. https://bit.ly/37CpikH #SLVCollection

09.04.2022 Just checked Amazon, and Aloysius the Ram has accumulated over 140 wonderful 5-star reviews.... thought I would share a few with you. And, of course, continue to encourage anyone interested in purchasing Aloysius to know that 100% of profits go to paediatric brain cancer research and family support. So far we have raised over $7000, but of course, would love to increase this. Purchasing in Australia, please go via our website www.rothwellpublishing.com and International via Amazon. Thanks Chateau de Lalande

02.04.2022 Yes, it's about cancer...or is it? Why not find out... www.rothwellpublishing.com

21.03.2022 A year ago, I decided to write Chasing Normal...Taking the C out of Cancer, A Memoir. And today, I have released it to fly free. Not organising a big shindig book launch may not be wise; however, to me, it isn't about bells and whistles; it is simply about being read. Massive appreciation to those who have supported this project. If anyone feels the urge to personalise sharing on your own networks, that would be nice...and very helpful. The paperback is available on our ...website or for International customers via Amazon. (links on our web) The kindle version is also available. Thank you! www.rothwellpublishing.com

16.03.2022 Today is my cancerversary. Eleven years ago today, it all began. I will adamantly declare that I will not be defined by cancer...yet I am about to release a book filled with my cancer experience. It is also filled with non-cancer stuff, which hopefully evens it out! Anyway, I do understand the irony. The book is ready to fly into the world, and whilst I find I am procrastinating about its release, that is most likely more about my trepidation in letting my thoughts roam fre...Continue reading

24.01.2022 We are all struggling during this pandemic and this includes small business owners in the local area who have been hit hard. With lockdown restrictions, it cont...inues to be difficult to keep going. Food and service providers, wineries, accommodation, tour operators and the many other businesses are all doing it tough. Consider shopping locally to support our small businesses. Order online from our businesses in the Warburton Valley to help them survive through these tough times. Consider buying vouchers for future bookings. Support local! #shoplocal #buylocal #orderonline #yarravalley #localfarmers #supportlocal #localcommunity #warburtonvalley

24.01.2022 About to head into stage 4 restrictions here in Victoria, so feels a little odd to be promoting travel...however for those interstate with few restrictions, our tourism regions need your support. So get out and about, be grateful of your freedom and enjoy our great land. To fellow Victorians, stay home, stay safe, stay well...we will endure. www.australianadventurepassport.com www.rothwellpublishing.com

16.01.2022 Last year I wrote this as a Wednesdays with Harry post, acknowledging the death of Danny Frawley. Today is RU Ok day, so thought it appropriate to revisit. Sincere thoughts to those who are suffering in the dark.

16.01.2022 Just doing a mini survey...if lockdown eventually lightens up here in Victoria, how many would be keen to attend a craft market? Of course there still may be restrictions in numbers of patrons, which could mean waiting to enter and I would imagine the number of stallholders would also be decreased. If you think you would attend a craft market, which one and month? Thanks

16.01.2022 Coming soon...really soon. One Yelpy Kelpie in the Great Western Plains Adventure www.rothwellpublishing.com

12.01.2022 Haven't posted for a while...back in lock down here in Victoria. Luckily however we live in the beautiful town of Warburton in the Upper Yarra Valley, so whilst it is still a challenging restricted time, we are fortunate to be surrounded by fresh air and amazing views. Have been working on a couple of projects over this time so whilst business income has slumped to a new low, I am hopeful that we will be able to produce another book soon. The first one that has been in th...e pipeline for some time is One Yelpy Kelpie in the Great Western Plains Adventure. Not close to home, but one that the Dubbo Council have asked us to do. Have attached a sample... Stay safe everyone, and if you can, please support small businesses. 08.01.2022 Yes this is another shameless post about trying to network our latest kids book - Aloysius the Ram at Chateau de Lalande. HOWEVER...THERE ARE ONLY 3 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW - 1: Aloysius is pronounced Allo-ishus... 2: You don't need to be obsessed with French chateaus for kids to love this book 3: You wish to see ALL THE PROFIT go towards brain cancer research and family support. Now be like Aloysius, create a little havoc and help me network. By the way, if anyone is wondering why brain cancer...brain cancer kills more Australian children than any other disease. Easy decision. http://www.rothwellpublishing.com/aloysius-the-ram-from...

06.01.2022 Woke up this morning to discover Stephanie Jarvis reading a story I wrote for her. 'Aloysius the Ram from Chateau de Lalande'. Earlier this year when lock down seemed more friendly and being creative was top of my priorities, I wrote this story. I discovered Stephanie's Youtube channel, Chateau Diaries, after becoming a little obsessed with the multitude of chateaus seemingly all being renovated by ex Brits. Escape to the Chateau and Escape to the Chateau DIY were top of my l...ist. People across the globe have appreciated tuning in regularly and peering in on Stephanie's life. Gifts are sent and to showcase the generosity, a new channel has been created called Chateau Unwrapped. Here all the money raised from watching these vlogs goes to charity. So if you do tune in, please watch the ads. I was inspired from all the amazing characters at Chateau de Lalande. The rambunctious ram called Aloysius and his rampaging ways seemed to leap out of my mind and onto a page. Many of the references in this story are specific to past vlogs and the pics are not for a finished product, just my very crude photoshopping to give the idea. I hope you enjoy xx (story starts at 1.02.23) See more
