Here are some interesting facts about this cute little creature: 1) There are currently thought to be up to 12,000 quokkas living on Rottnest.... 2) The quokka is a type of small wallaby. 3) Quokkas can live for up to 10 years in the wild. 4) The quokka is thought to be the first animal to be recorded by Europeans. 5) The quokka is the only mammal that is native to Rottnest. 6) The breeding season for quokkas runs from January to September.
