24.01.2022 COVID'19 has had a devastating effect on many of us in the West Australian community. We must all do our part to reduce to spread of this deadly disease. Next time you come into our depot, even to use our express drop off zone for Scheme ID Customers only, you will be asked to check in on the SAFE WA app. if you do not [yet] have this application on your Android or iOS device you can still use the manual sign in sheet. This is a mandatory requirement set up by the West Austra...lian Government. You will not be allowed to enter the depot unless you have either signed in via the App, or manually written your details down on the forms provided. Thanks for your understanding.

22.01.2022 Due to a 5 day lockdown, Roundabout Recycling has been deemed non essential and will be shut for the next 5 days. We humbly ask you to keep all your containers safe at home or at work and we'll collect them again when the lockdown is over. This lockdown affects ALL Refund Point Operators.... Thank you for your patience. Roundabout Recycling.

21.01.2022 So, you're curious about how to recycle your containers, you drive into our depot at 5 Winton Road in Joondalup, and after asking you how you are, and how you're enjoying this cool weather (we jest!) We ask you... Scheme ID or cash? Then comes confusion for a few seconds...... Let us explain. Scheme ID is a digital way of us paying you all the money you receive for the return of your eligible containers. You need to create your Scheme ID. It takes about 2 minutes for an individual, and about 3 minutes for a business. Just use any device, pop on over to www.roundaboutrecycling.com.au and click the blue button that says 'register for your scheme ID'. It's free. When you pop into our depot you can give us your code which begins with the letter 'C' and then walk off! Drop your bags off, give us your Scheme ID, name and mobile number (so we can cross reference and call you if there's a boo boo). You'll get an email within minutes of us processing your containers and within 3 days you'll have free money in your bank account! We don't want your bank account details. We just want your Scheme ID. We don't have access to any of your personal details. It's free, it's safe and fast. We prefer Scheme ID because there is no handling of cash. Ya know, COVID'19 and all that. Plus you have to wait for us to count it before you get the cash. Which, if you're in a hurry can be a daunting task. Cash.... Pop in, let us count your bottles and cans, take a seat and wait for us to tally everything up before we give you the cash. We pay via Scheme ID and cash, but for hygiene, transparency, noise, and ease, we prefer to pay you via Scheme ID. Cheers!

02.01.2022 Some of the Roundabout Recycling team actively volunteer their time with Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA and were present during the #Wooroloo bush fire complex in multiple roles. Roundabout Recycling are incredibly proud of the local community for helping where they can in offering food, clothes, drinks, furniture and more to those affected by the fires. We are also incredibly enthusiastic and humbled that DFES collect all the Eligible Containers at the various ...Incident Control Centres and give that money back into the community. Roundabout Recycling, DFES and WARRRL are pleased to announce a Scheme ID created specifically for the Wooroloo bush fire complex. If you donate your eligible containers to the Scheme ID C10414519 , 100% of your donations go into the Lord Mayors Distress Relief Fund. This money will then be given to those that need it. Roundabout Recycling will also have a bin set up in the foyer of the depot where you can donate some of your own personal donations into this Scheme ID. Any donations in bags to any of our Public Bag Drops in Wanneroo, Two Rocks, Joondalup, or Yanchep will also go straight into this fund if it has the above Scheme ID attached to it. Thank you WA, you're all amazing. #roundaboutrecyclingwa #warrrl #containersforchangewa #4ChangeWA #ContainersForChange Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA #community #wa

02.01.2022 So here's a problem.... Plastic bottles are mostly made out of PETE (water bottles etc...) Or HDPE (Dare ice coffee etc..) Lids are made out of HDPE.... We recycle HDPE bottles but we don't recycle HDPE lids. But it's made of the same plastic? So...? We ask you to remove ALL lids from bottles (even if it's the same material) before they come to us. Today we processed 224 PETE bottles from one customer. We had to remove every single lid from all the bottles, it took a long time. Why do we ask you to remove the lids? Turns out, once the plastic bottles leave us, they get crushed and baled and then auctioned off to recyclers. When they get crushed, the lids on the bottles explode outwards under extremely high pressure. They can cause serious injury to the staff nearby and machinery. Big Bada boom So please, remove the lids! Thank you!
