23.01.2022 http:// COVID-19: Why we are temporarily postponing our events // We’ve been monitoring the COVID-19 crisis daily and staying informed from the official government source, the Chief Medical Officer. The advice from health officials to governments is that gatherings/events should not go ahead until the pandemic is contained. This move is designed to slow the pace of spread and keep our health system from being overwhelmed like we have seen in countries like Italy. Sadly this means ...we can't proceed with the market on Saturday 16 May and therefore the event will be postponed until the worst of the crisis is behind us. The health and safety of the community has to come first. The phrase ‘uncharted territory’ has been used a lot and that’s the one thing we’re all experiencing together: nobody knows how this crisis will unfold and it’s that uncertainty which makes things so difficult as we simply can’t predict the outcome. We are acutely aware how important events are to the livelihoods of our stallholders. Organising events is our livelihood and deciding to postpone these events will hit us personally very hard in the short term (and we can’t think of a business that won’t be affected). But our duty of care to the health of attendees and stallholders is paramount. Sadly, we are all facing some really challenging times ahead. Like the entire events industry, Round She Goes will bounce back soon. Until then, take care and be kind to each other. Emma and Lee Round She Goes

13.01.2022 I was lucky enough to spend my Friday morning in a mentoring session with Kristina Karlsson thanks to my winning bid on the kikki.K bushfire community fundraise...r. It's funny to meet someone you feel like you already know (because you admire them so much), but it also because she's so warm, generous, down to earth and kind. The session has given me a lot to think about in my own business and my dreams. And no matter the size of your business (or dreams!) Kristina and I both share the same perspective in that we appreciate what we have (our family, our health our opportunity to be here - alive!) and that resilience is probably the greatest quality a business owner can have. We're living in such uncertain times, so we have to continue to learn and grow and support our communities. #IWD2020 has also given me a chance to reflect. I always feel a strong responsibility to the women who support my business - about 95% of the stallholders across the three market brands (Round She Goes, The Makers & Shakers Market, Slow Fashion Market) are women. It's a huge privilege to play a part in helping other women with their dreams. Whether they want to live more creatively or build their own financial success from their talents or passions, I always want to create an environment where women can connect with other like-minded women in a fun and safe environment. I have learnt so much from Kristina's book and her podcast and highly recommend if you're looking to either work out what you want to do with your life, whether it's a business dream or ANYTHING (just to make sure life just doesn't pass by without a path or direction), then get stuck into DREAMING. I listened to the audiobook and I felt like I was actually making new neural pathways in my brain just by thinking about answers to the challenging, thought provoking questions. Dreaming is for everyone. Happy International Women's Day! Emma xx

12.01.2022 Well HELLO. I hope you're keeping well (you know despite the wider global circumstances we find ourselves in, obvs). I have an update on Round She Goes Market - I have had to face the sad reality that I'm not going to be able to deliver ANY markets in 2020. I don't yet have any definite dates for 2021 to share but I do intend to resume again. ... A pandemic and my business model (indoors! lots of people! interstate travel!) are not very compatible and it's been hard to find a viable model (let alone work something out with border closures and ever-evolving new event regulations to follow). We miss our RSGs community so much. The absence has made our heart grow fonder, that's for sure. If you have any tips on MASSIVE venues we could use, feel free to shoot me a DM or email. Take care, Emma xx

06.01.2022 MARKET UPDATE / Sadly, we are not going to proceed with the 1st August 2020 Round She Goes market in Adelaide that we'd planned (before Covid-19). Like the whole event industry, we're very restricted in our operations because of the necessary social distancing requirements. As the rules are right now in SA, we couldn't even fit all the stallholders in the room (it's 20 per space). Also, a great deal of event planning and marketing effort goes into each event we put on and ou...r plans take around 6-8 weeks to implement. Without any certainty of knowing what the state of the Covid-19 health crisis will be in August, it makes it very, very hard to plan. For businesses like ours, the effects of the pandemic are far from over and sacrificing our business for a health crisis has been very hard. And yet, we are thankful that we're not in the grips of a major health catastrophe in Australia right now. We'd love to jump in and resume but it's not time yet. So, we wait. Emma and Lee x

03.01.2022 It's market day this Saturday 30 November! FYI, there is a fitting area to try things on, so it's helpful to wear clothes you can easily slip in and out of. To try something on, tell the stallholder who the item belongs to, and then you’ll just need to pay a deposit, then they'll give you a refund if you decide not to buy. Easy! See you from 10am-3pm, entry is $2 at the Goodwood Community Centre! Event deets: Round She Goes Preloved Fashion Market.

01.01.2022 Today would have been our first market day of the year at the Goodwood Community Centre (if that pesky global pandemic hadn't ruined things for us all). I just wanted to say, 'hey!'. We really, really miss that market day buzz, drinking Lee's coffee, the excitement when 10am rolls around, the bargains, the photos, the laughs and the VINTAGE! I especially miss all of you, our supporters and can't wait until the authorities say that it's safe to all be in the same room again.... Much love to you all, Emma x See more
