11.01.2022 Restrictions on people travelling to Tasmania who have been in the metropolitan Melbourne area will be lifted from midnight tonight. Anyone currently in quarant...ine in Tasmania who was in the metropolitan Melbourne area but was not at a specified high-risk premises - is able to leave quarantine at midnight. The Tasmanian Director of Public Health has reviewed metropolitan Melbourne’s risk classification and re-classified it as low-risk area from 12.01am Tuesday 22 June, 2021. This follows the extensive measures taken by Victorian health authorities over recent weeks to get on top of several outbreaks. Travel restrictions will remain in place for anyone who has been at any high-risk premises in Victoria at the specified dates and times listed. Anyone in quarantine because they were at a specified high-risk premises will be required to remain in quarantine. Premises in NSW, Queensland and the ACT have also been declared as high-risk by the Tasmanian Director of Public Health. The list of premises is available at www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au/travelalert. It will be updated regularly. Anyone who has been in NSW since 11 June, Queensland since 8 June, or the ACT since 14 June and is now in Tasmania should check this list. If a person has been at any of the listed high-risk premises at the specified dates and times, they must self-isolate immediately and contact the Public Health Hotline for further information. Anyone who is planning on travelling to Tasmania who has been to any of these high-risk premises at the specified dates and times will not be permitted to enter the state. Anyone in Tasmania with symptoms of a cold or flu should get tested for COVID-19. Testing for COVID-19 gives public health authorities the best chance of detecting cases early enough to prevent an outbreak. 04.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE - Greater Melbourne hotspot revoked! The Chief Health Officer has revoked Greater Melbourne as a hotspot for the purposes of travel to the North...ern Territory and implemented quarantine and testing directions for people who have been to a COVID-19 public exposure site in Victoria. These directions are effective from 6:00pm on 21 June 2021. Anyone currently in mandatory supervised quarantine from Greater Melbourne, who has not been to a Tier 1 public exposure site in Victoria, will be able to exit at this time. Anyone currently in mandatory supervised quarantine from Greater Melbourne, who was in a Tier 1 exposure site at the relevant time since 7 June 2021 must remain in quarantine until 14 days have passed from the time the person was in the Tier 1 exposure site. The Chief Health Officer has made the following directions in regards to public exposure sites in Victoria: Tier 1 : Anyone who arrived in the Northern Territory after 12.01am on 7 June 2021 who has visited any of the Tier 1 public exposure sites as stipulated by Victorian health authorities at the specified dates and times must enter mandatory supervised quarantine at their first port of arrival. Tier 2: Anyone who arrived into the Northern Territory since 7 June 2021, must self-isolate, get a test and remain in self-quarantine until a negative is returned. Tier 3: Anyone who arrived into the Northern Territory since 7 June 2021, and until otherwise directed, must monitor your symptoms and if any symptoms develop, immediately self-isolate, get a test and remain in self-quarantine until a negative is returned. Testing and quarantine directions remain in place for Queensland, News South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
