23.01.2022 Regretfully, the decision has been made to cancel the Parramatta District Cricket Association Annual Presentation for the season 2019-20. While it was hoped that some presentation may have been held prior to the start of season 2020-21, the pandemic and new restrictions announced this week make it impossible. The club will be collecting the trophies on behalf of the U14/2 players and individual trophies for the players listed below next week and your managers will be in cont...act with you to arrange collection. 22.01.2022 A big congrats to Jayshanker Nada for an elegant 54* today, helping to steer the B11’s to a solid first innings victory over Baulkham Hills. Well played!

22.01.2022 Our Under 14/2 team had an impressive run into the Christmas break. The team is unbeaten in the last 5 games including one draw due to the heat. A truly impressive run of performances. In the final round before the Christmas break, our team took on the ladder leaders, Wentworthville Leagues on Sat, 19 Dec at Harold Read Park. Bowling first, we restricted Wenty Leagues to 9/75 from their 30 overs. Our opening bowlers of Marcus and Shiv made scoring very difficult. They were... ably supported by Harshith & Aditya who took 2 wickets a piece as well as Tarun and Krishiv who took a wicket each. Great fielding also contributed to 3 run-outs. Overall an excellent fielding performance. Chasing 76 runs for victory, Prateek and Surya put on an opening partnership of 27 before Marcus and Prateek consolidated the innings with another 30 run partnership. The twins, Marcus and Andre guided the team to victory with only 3 wickets down. A comprehensive run chase that the boys should be proud of. The boys are looking forward to the resumption of games in January 2021. Hopefully they continue with their winning ways.

21.01.2022 We are asking for donations of both junior and senior cricket gear and also any other sporting equipment that is in in good condition. If you have equipment that is outgrown or you have updated your new gear, we need it! We will use what we can at the club. Also, through an initiative of Cricket NSW, we have been connected with Bega/Angledale Cricket Club who lost all their gear in the bushfires last summer and we have committed to donating gear to help the kids and adults in the club, schools and the surrounding communities get back on the field. A contactless drop off point will be set up at our shed at Hills Centenary Park this Sunday Aug 2nd from 1:30- 2:30pm. Please donate if you can. Thank you.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Sharvil Shah and Isaac Baker from the 12/1’s, both of whom scored their first ever half centuries this morning. Sharvil scored 50* from 47 balls, and Isaac 53* from 61 balls, to guide our team to 197. Tom Humphries chipped in with 2/1 when play was called off in the 3rd over due to extreme heat. Well played boys!

20.01.2022 Great team effort from U11 Red who are still undefeated after 4 rounds beating Hills Barbarians by 95 runs. The Rams posted 4/160 to Barbars 15/109. Our Domino’s Pizza Kellyville Hot Shot Sporting Award goes to Aidan Hackett for his first 5fa taking 5/13 and scoring 22no.

18.01.2022 Kudos to our U14/1 team who rallied from behind to produce a thrilling last ball tie against Hills Barbarians. Chasing a stiff 150 to win in 30 overs, our team was set up well by a brilliant 47 (58 balls) by Daman Brar, supported by Manav Narayan (18 off 25), Mokshaj Brahmbhatt (10 off 12), Gurshaan Punj (12 off 9) before losing our way to 8 for 113. Needing more than 8 runs an over to win at one stage, the Rams roared from behind through the measured strokeplay of Ron Sharma (30 off 23 balls) who was well supported by Bhav Pasricha (7 off 10 balls), both of whom kept their heads under pressure to get the U14 team to a memorable tie! Players of the match: (L-R) Mokshaj Brahmbhatt, Daman Brar and Ron Sharma.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no team kit given out this season and no sharing of equipment. Every player must provide their own equipment. JAW will be holding a Rams club night offering 10% off storewide this Tuesday. However to help with social distancing, they are opening their doors to us anytime this weekend and Monday too and still offering the special Rams 10% discount. They will have junior starter packs available with all the basics or you can pick and choose what you need.

07.01.2022 Our B12’s are still undefeated at Christmas with an outright win today. Jordan Castle got 5/28 and 5/22 for a match winning 10 wicket haul plus a very handy 59 runs.

07.01.2022 Junior Blaster Regos now open! Junior Blasters is for kids new to cricket with participants building their skills through fun, game based activities. The games are designed for small groups to ensure every child gets a go, allowing them to test and learn new skills. When they have mastered the basics they will be ready to graduate to Master Blasters where they can play modified games of cricket. 07.01.2022 RAMS UPDATE DETAILS: There are some exciting new changes to the upcoming season. Some of the changes our players, coaches and parents will have noticed last year and some of the changes have come due to the ongoing pandemic. ... The first major change for this year is that the new season will commence on the 17th of October 2020 and wrapping up with Grand Finals on the 27th/28th March 2021. Juniors have had a bit of a revamp this season as well. All junior competitions will only be playing One-Dayers. Under 13s will now be stage 2 cricket. U14-15 will be stage 3. The U/16s has also been revamped into a C grade competition which will be for players who are U/16s and U/17s. This competition will still be played on Saturday mornings. Seniors are still played under the same conditions as always, a combination of 2 day games and One-Dayers. The big news for seniors is there will be a T20 double header on the 9th of January. These 2 games will be billed as two separate rounds. We still have a few spots left in some age groups. Please contact us so we can try and find a team for you....

02.01.2022 UNDER 11 REP TRIALS The open trial for Parramatta PDCA Under 11 President Cup teams will be held at Monty Bennett nets on Sunday 23rd August, 9.00am - midday. Shortlisted players will be invited to return the following Sunday 30th August. The trial is open to all but we request that only the more proficient players attend - the better performing few from each club, preferably those playing Stage 2. Players are not to wear rep clothing from any association. Parking is not available at the nets, please park in the Leagues Club carpark. Registrations for the trials close Wednesday 19th August.
