21.01.2022 Remember on Monday you will be looking for a regular Public Transport Route Bus. NOT the white PenBus coaches with the logo! Thanks everyone..... P.S. This is not one of the 887 stops pictured!

20.01.2022 Connection issues? Please let us know if the Monash Shuttle is missing the 887 connection, so that we can contact Monash and they can issue a directive to Quinces Coaches that provide the shuttle service. Thanks guys.

11.01.2022 OK GUYS, ITS FINALLY HAPPENED. ANNOUNCEMENT BELOW. The Andrews Labor Government has stepped in to save students and trainees on the Peninsula, who were left stranded when the Federal Government cut funding for the PenBus service. Minister for Public Transport Jacinta Allan and Member for Frankston Paul Edbrooke announced today that the Labor Government will deliver a new dedicated bus service between Rosebud and the Monash University Peninsula Campus.... The new service is a funding partnership between the Labor Government, Mornington Peninsula Shire and Monash University and will operate for the next 12 months on a trial basis. The new Route 887 will begin on 22 February, in time for the start of semester one, and will follow the same route as PenBus. The service will run six express round trips per day, Monday to Friday, timetabled to connect with Monash University’s inter-campus shuttle to Clayton. As well as servicing students, Route 887 will also be available to the public, with stops at Rosebud, Safety Beach, Mt Martha, Mornington, Mt Eliza, Frankston Station and Monash Peninsula Campus. The first service will leave Rosebud at 6.47am, arriving at Frankston Station at 7.37am and the Monash University campus 8 minutes later. The last service leaves Monash University Peninsula Campus at 6.18pm arriving at Rosebud at 7.18pm. For timetables and more information, visit ptv.vic.gov.au, download the PTV App or call 1800 800 007. Quotes attributable to Member for Public Transport Jacinta Allan Local students and trainees have been pleading with Bruce Billson, Greg Hunt and Martin Dixon to continue the funding the previous Federal Labor Government provided for PenBus sadly, those pleas fell on deaf ears. The Andrews Labor Government has stepped in to save local students, and provide an alternative to the PenBus service the Federal Government has withdrawn funding for. Quotes attributable to Member for Frankston Paul Edbrooke Route 887 will provide 3,500 students and hundreds of University staff a dedicated bus service to Monash University’s Peninsula Campus, timetabled to connect with the inter-campus shuttle to Clayton. Quotes attributable to Member for Eastern Victoria Daniel Mulino The bus service will begin in time for the start of the university year, and also benefit peninsula locals and visitors by stopping at Rosebud, Safety Beach, Mt Martha, Mornington, Mt Eliza and Frankston Station.
