17.01.2022 Whose Moot is it anyway? Thanks to our friend Miss Rona a lot of moots have been cancelled or postponed and we wanted to provide an opportunity for Rovers to get together, but like you, we're a bit tired of all the online meetings, so we came up with Whose Moot is it anyway? It's an event where units around NSW (and maybe even Australia) get together IN PERSON (woohoo) and compete in theatre sports like activities. You're not that much into theatre sports? No worries just be a spectator and get some good laugh in. Sign up at the link below for a fun weekend of laughs with your unit.

04.01.2022 You may have seen recently that we were advertising the position for State Adviser Rovers. After a series of interviews a recommendation was put to the State Rover Council and DCC Youth Program. A final decision was made and we are pleased to announce the State Rover Adviser from October 2020 to October 2023. Alison Maynard. Alison has been a very active Cub and Scout leader and regularly assisted the state Rover Council in various areas. In the past, Alison held the role... of Vice President for State Rover Council and Vice Chair for the National Rover Council. Alison has also been a member of various panels determining the outcome of policies or awards, including the esteemed Stan Bales Rover Service Award. Alison is coming into this role with a fresh set of eyes and as an adviser who believes that the Rover Section is the strongest section in Scouts. With Alison’s guidance, the State Rover Council is going to make leaps and bounds within Scouts NSW over the next 3 years. Alison will be warmly welcomed into her role in the State Rover Council and we look forward to seeing the support and work the Council will achieve with her on our Team. We would like to thank the outgoing State Adviser Rovers, Peter Favelle, for his hard work and dedication over the past 3 years. Pete has made significant progress as the first Adviser to the Council. This can be seen in the support he has given in areas relating to development of policies of the State Rover Council, Rover Awards presentations, Rover aspects of NYP, a strong presence at National Rover Council and support of SRC events. Pete’s contributions will not be forgotten as he moves on to different and exciting roles. Pete will still be seen in the Rover section in various areas such as the BPSA Support Team and the Adviser to the World Scout Moot 2022. Thank you Pete for all your work and we look forward to seeing what you do in the future.
