25.01.2022 So happy to announce that I can take another 4 people for my art classes due to new virus capacity rules!!! When you book I can let you know what you need to bring.. So happy our restrictions are slowly being relaxed.

21.01.2022 Love showing off my new studio space at the Deloraine Creative Studios.... Slowly getting my space to where I want it to be. My work in progress is coming along slowly.... So lovely to come back to it every week and work. A great place to work and relax at once!!! Here every weekend 10am till 3pm!! More new works to come soon.

20.01.2022 Getting back into my large oil painting at the Deloraine Creative Studios.. Pop in at any time to watch how it is progressing. It is my version of the green man, but I am using no green colour... Just earth shades. The natural world is crying, and its leaves are wilting and decaying. But there remains hope, nature is still alive.. Look into its eyes. My earth man is asking us to help..

19.01.2022 My biggest woodburnt artwork yet. Went through two nibs!!! My Platypus Cottage sign is now with its new owner in Perth Tasmania!! Cant wait to go back to see its final position in person.

19.01.2022 The Deloraine Creative Studios would like to welcome a new studio holder: Susan L McEwen of Roving Heart Designs https://www.facebook.com/rovingheartdesigns/ S...usan is a qualified Advanced Art Therapist, holding tertiary qualifications in Fine Arts and Stage Design. Susan is also an accredited sculptural instructor for Paverpol Australia. She has worked extensively as an artist in professional Live Musical and Dramatic Theatre with over 60 productions over 25 years in the varied roles of Set and Costume Design, Technical, Management and Performance. She moved to Sprayton from Newcastle about 5 years ago to pursue her art surrounded by the beautiful scenery and wildlife of Tasmania. Susan will be working from her studio at the Deloraine Creative Studios every Saturday and Sunday. There are also plans for Susan to introduce Fine Art Classes and Art Therapy services in the creative teaching space at the Studios, in the near future.

10.01.2022 This is so true. A new chapter awaits. I have just completed my last unit and portfolio submission for the Advanced Diploma of Art Therapy... For the next month or so I will be getting my official therapy paper work and accreditations ready, then applying for some work...hopefully working with the beautiful people who helped care for our mum in her final year, but who knows. New paths are always exciting, as we never know where they may lead. I may also offer private sessions as well down the track. I will see what the future holds... New beginnings are always exciting and daunting all at once!! The road to self-healing, understanding and acceptance will always be a beautiful journey, and one that as an Art Therapist I feel honoured to share with people.

08.01.2022 Two beautifully stretched and almost dry large watercolour sheets of paper... Almost looks too good and pure to draw and paint on!!! Ahhhh! Needed a good stretch as it came in a 10mtr roll

01.01.2022 Just finished a second version of my earlier portrait... Pared down. Happier with this version for the frame.. I will keep the other one in my studio as a reference work.. Thinking of doing a few versions, sizes and colour variations for future works. Have named this work Fleeting in the Rememberance Series... Hopefully I can get this into her frame before Saturday for the Deloraine Creative Studios all being well. Perfect work for a rainy day!!!
