25.01.2022 Hawk Talk with Tex Walker Best RCC Memory onfield - Probably winning the semi final against Monbulk in 18/19 & catching and absolute bullet hit to me from Jason Fraser... Funniest moment while playing - Legs (Andrew Artner) getting out hulks (Matt Logan) brother in law and saying you can go back and tell your dad you went out to the great legs artner. Funniest bloke at the club - Legs for the one liners gets me every time. But birdman is also one for the greatest stories Tightest bloke at the club - Either Andrew Howell or Haydn "never pays for a thursday night meal because he has dinner at home" Morse. Favourite player you have played with - Definitely not Crossy, hes on my least favourite list. Probably gator,Talked so much smack in the cordon. Worst or most embarrassing way you’ve gotten yourself or someone else out - Probably being bowled on 96 by Trav Moulder. Most embarrassing way i got someone out would be anyone who got bowled by me. Favourite captain you have played under - Chooka was probably the captain i enjoyed the most playing with, but evo was probably was the best captain. Favourite club function - I thoroughly miss calcutta night (Bring it back) & the trivia nights are always a great night
24.01.2022 Hawk Talk with Hilly!! Best RCC Memory onfield - Defending 170 to win our first flag was an awesome day ! I was sick as a dog and couldnt even celebrate but was a huge day... Funniest moment while playing - Doggy mynott running through a bloke while changing pads , trying to waste time to draw a game Lloydy getting hit in the head by a seagull being chased by a magpie at stud park was one of the funnier things you'll see Funniest bloke at the club - There is only one Birdman , so many stories at RCC and they all involve Bridgy Tightest bloke at the club - Tate Burgmann didnt like buying a beer lol , Blackers keeps an eye on things Favourite player you have played with - Probably Chooka , he came to the club when i was starting in the 1sts , we put on 180* against knoxfield at seebeck , johnno , gamble , arfi and so on great day . Worst or most embarrassing way you’ve gotten yourself or someone else out - Too many to mention really , I was batting with Dean Johnson one day and i sky’d a ball and started walking off , johhno was screaming run , run , he'll drop it and he did . The umpire gave johnno out unsportsmanlike conduct ha ha that was a first Favourite captain you have played under - Longy was great when we were growing up , really showed us how to play tough . Paul Evans was a great captain , lead from the front Favourite club function - Most of our great nights weren’t even functions , they just got out of control . I remember a joint mens night cricket/footy, it had everything , girls , fights , a bite mark , a gun produced , windows broken , police visit , insane lol

18.01.2022 Hello all Cricket Club Members, I hope you are all managing to get through the day to day monotony we are all faced with at the moment. I just wanted to update you all on the latest news regarding the 20/21 cricket season,... The latest government announcement yesterday outlined a possible return to community sport in early November. As a cricket club I am unsure what this means for us at this stage. Obviously we are still waiting clarification from Cricket Victoria and the FTGDCA, We do though now have a date to work to. As a committee we are beginning the planning stages of what the upcoming season will look like and getting into place the platforms we require to get underway. I will keep you all updated as any new developments arise. Regards Tiger RCC President
17.01.2022 Round 1 Wrap Up It’s fair to say it wasn’t the best start to round 1 with all 3 of our senior sides on the wrong side of results Our ones took on South Belgrave Cricket Club and bowled first with South ending on 3/203 of the allocated 40 overs, in reply we were 4/32 before a small fight back with Monto 38 & Chanaka 35 got us to 4/99 before Chanaka fell and we were unable string together any helpful partnerships to push on towards the target being bowled out for 128 in only 3...3 overs The seconds hosted St John’s Tecoma at Seebeck,Bowling first Haydn Morse struck early to have the away side 2/9 but then a few middle order partnerships eventually saw the away side finish on 9/193 We started well with Tiger 46 & Matty Rich 37 getting starts but not going on with it and with wickets falling in steady succession through the middle order we fell 56 runs short of the target Our Thirds were against Lysterfield Cricket Club at Liberty Reserve and bowled first, Lysterfield posted 8/169 with Mitch Wills taking 4/35,In reply we managed 9/120 with Akila 63 the best with the bat With minimal pre season it has never been more important to get to training and strive to get the best out of yourself for the season Training continues at Seebeck Tuesday & Thursday from 5.45pm onwards Go Hawks

15.01.2022 Introducing Hawk Talk with Alan Chooka Freeman Best RCC Memory onfield - Grand Final & Semi final wins but I especially remember having the best seat in the house watching Darren Hill make 130no against Knoxfield with about 8 sixes infront of a very large Seebeck crowd ... Funniest moment while playing - The famous practice match at stud park when our entire team except Lloyd Lennon were watching for some unknown reason this seagul being chased by a magpie which flew straight into the back of Lloyd’s head to which he turned around and went to shape up thinking someone had king hit him...10 blokes on the ground crying in laughter a moment I’ll never forget Funniest bloke at the club - There have been heaps over the years that crack me up Andrew Legs Artner is one & Jeff Bridge is hilarious and doesn’t even mean to be Tightest bloke at the club - Some would say me but I’m not cheap I’m just broke ha ha Favourite player you have played with - Couldn’t pick one favourite player, obviously I have played a lot of cricket with some of my best mates and have appreciated everyone I’ve ever played with Worst or most embarrassing way you’ve gotten yourself or someone else out - I once tried to kick the ball away from the stumps in a semi final and sent middle stump cart wheeling 25 meters Favourite captain you have played under - I will always have a soft spot for David Long ( Longy) who gave all us young blokes a chance in the ones Favourite club function - Outback nights were legendary

10.01.2022 Round 6 Results Good wins to the 1sts & 2nds going into the break while the 3rds struggle posting a defendable score but with the ball keep showing signs that that first win isn’t far away hopefully To all players & supporters we wish you a safe and enoyable Christmas break and New year & we will see you all back for round 7 on Jan 9 which is the clubs first function for the season the iPod Shuffle Night!!... Go Hawks
10.01.2022 Welcome to cricket season
10.01.2022 Hawk Talk with former Premiership Player & Club President Craig Mitchell Best RCC Memory onfield - Impossible to go past the clubs first 1st XI premiership at Belgrave. Hilly (sickest man to ever take the field - taking the new rock & taking 2 of the best catches at local level ever) Gav Williams bowling serious wheels & the Rcc faithful on the hill. ... Funniest moment while playing - Johnny Nasr on numerous occasions turning around at top of his mark & seeing Pecker (Rod Arthur) had come up to stumps he would tell pecker to go back & it would be on. Pecker would win the war of words. Then Johnny would send down an inswinger starting a foot outside leg & it would go away for 4 byes every time. It would be on for young & old. Get back Pecker you f$&@$hd & pecker in return bowl line & length you so & so. Pecker stays up - repeat above until he went back. In the background the captain (Paz) would be winding up both of them. Also Craig Street at Monbulk for nearly 40 overs with Timmy after the Tim’s Pies fence sign resounding from all 10 teammates after not having his best day with the ball.. Poor Streeta Funniest bloke at the club - Hard to go past Chooka for longevity. Birdman tries so hard not to be funny, and continually had the boys in hysterics. J-Mac (James McDonald)very solid!!! Tightest bloke at the club - Certainly not the birdman because he dresses funny & will lend you money Favourite player you have played with - For all his whingeing & carry-on, impossible to go past Matt Blackman ,Started playing cricket against each other just out of nappies. To open the batting with him in 1st Xi for several seasons is a special memory. Special mention to Gav Williams - to bring an 18year old from Antigua & share a house with him for 2 seasons was fantastic. Worst or most embarrassing way you’ve gotten yourself or someone else out - Playing at Knox in 2nd XI (pretty sure I came to game straight from being out all night), fielding at a very close short leg & Scotty Hoare sends down a SLOW rank half tracker. Batsmen smashes a pull shot straight into back of my head which carries to Nath Wales at mid-on. Bizarre. Favourite captain you have played under - Played my best cricket under Paul Evans. Loved the professionalism he brought to the club. Favourite club function - Calcutta night for first Rowville gift when Monster (Paul Mynott) oiled up (& ran last) was very funny. All the ladies backed him to win - club won a fortune.
