13.01.2022 A huge congratulations to Year 12 RIA Drama student James Ydreos who has been selected to study with Patrick School of the Arts next year in their new Acting | Screen & Stage course. James, who is also a 2020 School Captain, has contributed much over his years at RSC and RIA and we wish him all the very best for an amazing and bright future in the Arts industry. "James has a natural talent for both the stage and screen, and during his time at RSC and RIA he has really honed his performance skills. I'm so thrilled for James and this exciting new chapter in his performing journey. James is a hard-working and dedicated student with such a strong passion for performance. 02.01.2022 We love hearing about what our alumni have been up to and supporting them with their endeavours Katrina Gilbee (RIA class of 2016) went on to study a Bachelor of Industrial Design at Monash University. This year, along with a group of fellow Monash Uni Industrial Design students, she entered into the international competition, XPrize, which focuses on solving a wide range of global issues - what better year for that than 2020?!!. The goal was to design the next generation o...f a mask to help fight COVID 19. From almost 1000 entrants, Kat's team has battled it out through various stages to be in the TOP 10!!! They were then paired with Honeywell as a manufacturing partner who constructed 50 prototypes to be judged and tested in labs. This stage will come down to judges' opinions, lab testing and POPULAR VOTE. As the only Australian team in the competition they really need the Australian public’s support to get though to the next round.
