06.01.2022 Rowville Lions Club Free Food Corner a saving grace The reality of COVID - 19 is really being felt by all our community throughout Victoria. These are difficult times for everyone, but for the vulnerable and isolated in our community it is as difficult as it gets. As COVID 19 continues to spread, the future has never felt so unpredictable. These are challenging times for us all, especially the newly unemployed, international students, temporary visa holders, asylum seekers... and many more. Our club members have been working hard to assist them and have adjusted our services to continue to provide support. We are a small chapter of Lions, doing big things within our community. We have done a food drive to collect canned foods, dry goods, groceries and gift cards. Rowville Lions club is running a free food corner to provide lunch packs, bread and gift vouchers to those in need. Our heartfelt thanks to Mango Tree Restaurant Dandenong, Wellington Care Centre Rowville, Bunnings Scoresby and Bakers delight Stud Park/Wellington Village shopping centre for your generous donations to support our free food corner project. been faced with financial crisis during this COVID 19 pandemic. We will continue to do this humanitarian support to our community. However, we need more volunteers to help us, so if you would like to be one of them please ring Antony on 0422 313 306 See more
