19.01.2022 Another great night at the fights. Ronin Beaumont Joshua Patterson and Eamon Fillery all coming away with a win. Ronin performed exceptionally well fighting a very strong fit opponent just showing his class and composure in the ring coming away with the win. Next we had josh who was fighting an undefeated opponent. Josh executed his game plan and tactics perfectly against a very fast and skillful opponent, he came away with the win and the challenge belt. Lastly we had eamon... who was having his first fight back in twelve months. He fought a very tough and experienced fighter. Eamon showed his skills and ring knowledge by our boxing and out powering his opponent coming away with the unanimous decision. Well done team royal for your support for our fighters and gym. 15.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Below is the updated proposed calendar for the remainder of the year. We have been extremely lucky in SA to continue with competition. We w...ill take each Tournament one step at a time, and if changes are required to be made due to government regulations relating to COVID we will let you know. For now the below dates are set: Sat September 19th BSA Tournament. Saturday October 10th BSA Tournament Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th November BSA State Championships U19 and Elite Novice, Int, Open and Masters . Fri 20th, Sat 21st and Sunday 22nd November - Potential event that confirmation will be by the end of September. Saturday 28th November - Apex Sports Fest. Combat sports festival at the Norwood Oval outdoors. BSA to potentially have 6-8 bouts. Still in negotiations. Saturday 5th December - Dwyer’s Tournament Mt Gambier. **Triple club points on offer**

14.01.2022 Good evening everyone as most of you have heard by now the premier has announced that gyms must shut for at least two weeks. We are extremely devastated about this. All the fighters have put in so much work for all the upcoming tournaments. This will not stop us though. Starting Wednesday we will be doing some no contact outdoor sessions. This is a really difficult time that we have dealt with before and we are certain we will get through it again like royals always do. Please keep training as much as you can in the meantime. 12.01.2022 Tonight was another fantastic show with all fighters giving it their all. Ronin Beaumont Rebecca Arthur Joshua Patterson well done on coming away with the wins, you all fought tough opponents and left nothing in the ring. Unfortunately Reuben Parker didn’t come away with the win but should hold his head high as he fought a stronger and more experienced boxer and still put on a great performance. We could not be more proud of all four of you guys for the way you handled yourse...lves inside and outside of the ring. Thank you once again to Pete for all the work you do at fight nights for helping in the corner and helping matt and Bec stay organised through out the night, it’s truly appreciated. 12.01.2022 We have just finished the state championships on the weekend. We have had outstanding results with 8 state champions and 1 runner up. We had Ronin Beaumont , sunny beaumont and ES Wilson all winning their divisions unopposed. All three trained really hard and nominated throughout the year just couldn’t get matched for states but all deserving of their state titles. Next we had Samantha Simpson who won her state title in a special bout against a tough young lady from Southsi...de Muay Thai. Sam executed her game plan really well using angles and head movement. Well done Sam. Reece Robinson had two tough fights in two days, stopping both of his opponents with great ring control, foot defense and strong hands. Reece came away with the state title. Great boxing. Joshua Patterson had 1 fight for the 64kg open title. This was a rematch from the last tournament where josh fought a tough young undefeated opponent. Josh stuck to the game plan again and had control of the fight. Using speed and pressure, coming away with the belt amd the win again. Next we had Rebecca Arthur fighting a special bout for the 60kg open title against the amazing Bianca Williams who fought for the 64kg title. Bec fought brilliantly. Both girls put on a great show having an amazing battle. Bec coming away with the Win. Next we had Matt Arthur who won the 75kg open title. He also had a special bout against SAs top boxer Callum peters. Unfortunately it was a ref stop contest in the 2nd round because Matt’s knee gave way on him twice. Up until that moment though both boxers were boxing well. Lastly we had Eamon Fillery fighting for the 69kg open title. Eamon and his opponent put on one of the greatest amateur boxing fights of all time. Nothing but skill, strength ,heart and courage. Eamon got a couple unlucky 8 counts which swayed the fight to the other corner. He left everything in the ring and deserved the win. He showed nothing but class and character with the result and acted like a true sportsman and gentleman. He is a true inspiration in and out of the ring and carried himself like a true professional. To all the fighters we could not be more proud of each and everyone of you. You all showed respect and class while at the tournament. A very special mention to Mark Webber who co coached with matt for the whole tournament which made Matt’s life easier having so many people competing. We truly appreciate your knowledge amd help and commitment in improving all the fighters. Thank you to all the supporters who came to cheer on the fighters and support the club. 03.01.2022 Today we had the 3rd lot of competition sparring at para hills boxing club. Matt Arthur fought first against Garth, was a respectful fight between both show cas...ing technique and class. They have both fought each other before and had nothing to prove by trying to take each other’s heads off. Head coach showing us pure class and professionalism once again. Next Nikolas Mavros was next with his first ever competition sparring, he did well and kept his opponent away with his reach. He will take a lot away from today and progress even further. Ronin Beaumont had two very tough bouts today. 1st up was with an opponent who has been to a few nationals, ronin learnt how to adjust quickly on the fly to match his opponent. He should be extremely proud of the 1st fight. He outboxed his 2nd opponent even though he was extremely tired and deflated from his first bout but grit his teeth like a true warrior and punched out all 6 rounds. Super proud of the heart on this kid. Lastly we had Reuben have his first ever completion sparring bout. He fought a tough opponent who came to fight, but Reuben held his own and out skilled his opponent technically and mentally. He landed lots of clean shots particularly uppercuts. Great first performance. Thank you to Pete for all your support and hard work and to Eamon Fillery for your help warming the guys up and your coaching guidance. It truly is appreciated and does not go unnoticed. Lastly I would like to say thank you to everyone who came to support the club and fighters. You were all respectful to the covid restrictions and made our gym proud. Thank you!!
