19.01.2022 Hi all Just to let you know Russ Johnson passed away yesterday

17.01.2022 Leigh Newton, Phil Hoff and myself have just returned from spending time with the Ski For Life Murray River run. The aim was to support issues relating to men's suicide. During the preceding 12 months and over the 4 day tour an amount totalling $112,000 was raised. We were fortunate enough to be the petrol pullers with a duty of ensuring all fuel was available at each stop. Something like 300 people were involved comprising 24 ski boats, skiers and their support crews. At ...each stop we would pull up at a service station and each support crew would fill their boat's jerry can and place back on our trailer. We would have perhaps 60-70 cans on board. Day 1 following a diner get-together at Murray Bridge we set of for stops at Younghusband, Swan Reach, Blanchetown and finishing at Morgan. Day 2 Departed for Cadell Prison Farm where a community held service to remember all those men who had suicided. This was held at the Farms private river front. From there to Caudo Winery a marvellously presented winery with another great river front age. Then onto Waikerie, finishing at Cobdogla for a great meal an auction. Day 3 Headed to Loxton, Martin's Bend (near Berri) with a grand finale at the Remark Club. A total distance via river of about 450 kms. Some skiers travelled the whole distance including a young girl aged about 11. Mostly it was done by the teams in rely. See more

05.01.2022 Hello one and all Just a quick note to say to everyone take care of yourselves and families in these uncertain times stay strong and observe the restrictions and advice just like following orders but better than what most of us did in earlier years. If we all do what is required we will get this this sooner and return to better times. Stay safe everyone
