24.01.2022 2020 RELIANCE BANK ROYAL BATHURST SHOW CONFIRMED CANCELLED With 3 months to go to a possible alternative date, the Show Council of the Bathurst AH&P Association last night agreed with the recommendation of their Executive Committee that the option of conducting a rescheduled 2020 Reliance Bank Royal Bathurst Show on the October long weekend was increasingly unlikely. They have confirmed the Royal Bathurst Show will not proceed in 2020. The Association will now focus on planni...ng the 152nd Reliance Bank Royal Bathurst Show on 16-18 April 2021 in the hope that conditions and restrictions will have eased to the extent it can run. Horse Section competitors will receive seperate notifications regarding options available from next week. Pre-purchased ticket holders, Sponsors & Commercial Exhibitors will also be contacted directly from next week to discuss available options. 24.01.2022 As the 2020 Reliance Bank Royal Bathurst Show approaches, we thought we would take a trip down memory lane. This is Helen Taylors grandfather, William James Inwood of Peel with an outstanding giant pumpkin exhibit! He won the Pratley Cup three years in succession for his giant pumpkins. This photo was taken around 1930.... The giant pumpkin competition is still running today! It is sponsored by Atlantic Seeds who provide us with giant pumpkin seeds which we give away to encourage people to enter. We are looking forward to seeing the giant pumpkins at this years show which will be held 24-26 April 2020. 24.01.2022 THE RELIANCE BANK ROYAL BATHURST SHOW NOW HAS A CLEAR PATH FOR 2021 Very welcome and timely news creating a clear pathway for planning to commence confidently for 2021. We appreciate the work of many individuals, the Government and the Agricultural Societies Council of NSW Ltd in achieving this positive outcome. We have spent the last month's working out ways we could safely conduct the show during COVID. It will mean some minor changes and will rely on the goodwill of our patrons, exhibitors and volunteers but God willing we will be back on 30 April to 2 May 2021.

23.01.2022 2020 Reliance Bank Royal Bathurst Show Update. Further to the announcement from the Prime Minister this afternoon. At present the 2020 Royal Bathurst Show has not been cancelled. Our Association is closely monitoring the situation and awaiting the detailed guidelines of the advice regarding the holding of non-essential organised gatherings of 500 people or more so that we can make a determination. We have a number of options available to ensure that our mission to promote and develop agriculture and regional industry are achieved in 2020. We expect to make an announcement on Wednesday regarding our plans.

23.01.2022 Expressions of Interest are currently being sort for the Horse Section in the form of Mounted & unmounted Marshals from Friday 24th April to Sunday 26th April 2020. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old. Please send an expression of interest entailing your experience to [email protected] Ring Stewards are also required. 15.01.2022 2020 Reliance Bank Royal Bathurst Show postponed until 2-4 October 2020. Following the issuing of the Public Health (COVID-19 Public Events) Order 2020 under section 7 of the Public Health Act 2010 by the Minister for Health and Medical Research Mr. Brad Hazzard MP and in compliance with recommendations of the National Cabinet and the Executive Committee of the Agricultural Societies Council of NSW the Bathurst AH&P Association has determined to postpone the 2020 Reliance Ban...k Royal Bathurst Show to the 2-4 October 2020 (being the October Long Weekend). The Executive and Show Council of the Bathurst AH&P Association met on Tuesday 17 March 2020 and by considering and following the detailed advice from the Federal and State Governments and the Chief Medical Officer we were able to make an informed decision, and our Association will continue to closely monitor the situation and consider the interests of the community and stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Our Association is taking the situation very seriously whilst investigating the options to achieve our objectives to encourage agricultural development, livestock development, promote competition, and educate people about agriculture and related industries. President of the Bathurst AH&P, Col McPhee says this is impacting all small and large shows across the country, we are postponing in the hope that by October we will have come out the other side of this situation and the community can come together safely. 10.01.2022 Congratulations to our incredible 2019 Showgirl, Stephanie Ferguson, who is through to The Land Sydney Royal Showgirl Competition to be held in Sydney. We couldnt be more proud of you! Congratulations to the other finalists through - Beatrice Patterson from Cowra and Sally Nicholls from Blayney.... All 21 entrants were incredible and we are in awe of the incredible women in the Show Movement.

08.01.2022 Fantastic news for all Crown Reserve leaseholders but especially Ag Societies in a year of no shows and almost no income. Most people dont realize that many Show Societys like ours pay rent for their use of Showgrounds and this a very welcome relief. Our association thanks the Government and Minister Pavey for hearing us and acting.
