14.01.2022 ROYAL BIKES TOUR DE WARRNAMBOOL STAGE 2: KING OF THE MOUNTAIN Stage 1 of the tour is in full swing and some big names have already flexed their quads on the infamous criterium course. But have they dug too deep and not left enough in the tank for tomorrows hills?... STAGE 2: KING OF THE MOUNTAIN Monday 15th February Tomorrow will require not just brawn, but brains as well, as cyclists from across the country flock to the mountains of Warrnambool. Tactics will be discussed late into the night between riders and management to ensure their best chance of being crowned King of the Mountain. Bets are coming in with the more experienced riders with atleast half a head looking to be the favourites. Glory will go to the rider that is able to complete the most total elevation gain in a 1hr 30min period. But there’s a catch. On route, each hill can only be climbed once (no repeating your favourite climb over and over); so be calculated in your course choice and don’t go out of your 5km radius. Remember the ride MUST begin and finish at your place or residence and cannot be a second over 1hr30mins - don’t get caught out! PRIZE: - Overall winner will be awarded the prized Royal Bikes yellow jersey, yellow rock n roll lube and anything else yellow we can hunt down. - Points will be awarded to the top three riders of each stage - The overall winner will be the one with the most points over the four stages. RULES: - Rides must be loaded to Strava - Rides must start and finish at your house of residence and not exceed 2hours in length - Entire ride must be within a 5km radius of your house of residence at all times - A screen shot of your completed ride needs to be posted in the comments section to be eligible - Ride can be completed solo or with one other rider (choose your partner wisely, different partners for different stages is allowed) - Riders must always obey road rules and ride in a safe and courtesy manner - Riders cannot hold Royal Bikes liable for any damage or harm incurred to themselves, others or their equipment if they chose to participate.
