21.02.2022 Well! Restrictions are easing, gyms are opening, people are (somewhat) socialising again. ACT has been lucky enough to have had relatively few cases of COVID-19... and have now had no new cases for some time . But we know we still need to be cautious. And even though real estate inspections are now allowed as are auctions, NRE Canberra will continue to protect the health and safety of our tenants, vendors and all customers by continuing to offer complimentary virtual reality tours to all properties. Our first point of reference for interested parties will continue to be virtual to limit the amount of traffic through homes. A lot of this information is common sense and things you may have heard me say in the past, the way our animals are raised etc., but seeing it delivered in this format... wow amazing. Get watching!

How will COVID19 affect your investment in the coming months and beyond? Since recording this just yesterday recommendations have changed yet again. COVID19 is not going away any time soon. That does not mean Real Estate stops! So many people will still rely on their investment as a source of income including retirees, people who have recently lost their jobs, for so many people their investment will hopefully provide a little relief at this time. Overnight restrictions were tightened. Specifically Open Homes are now an option that cannot be conducted at all. This applies for Sales and Rentals. This is a BIG part of our industry and the service that any real estate office provides. What does that mean for you? If your tenant decides they need to move out will it take weeks of showing one applicant at a time to get it leased? If you decide you need to sell does it mean having endless people walk through your home over an extended period of time?
