Image 2: III Class recently completed the 17.2km 3 Peaks Walk (3PW) from Camp Blake, Majura back to RMC-Duntroon. The 3PW is the culminating activity for the approx 9 weeks of training which makes up the Initial Cadet Training (ICT) phase of III Class.

11.01.2022 Staff Cadets from Second Class build and subsequently deploy a raft to transport stores and personnel across a river during period of darkness, as a part of Exercise Shaggy Ridge. Ex Shaggy Ridge aims to test and develop each Staff Cadet’s personal leadership, character and ethics, under physical and mental fatigue within austere environments.

09.01.2022 Staff Cadets took a pause from training today to recognise the official opening of Duntroon on 27 June 1911. The Commanding Officer reflected on the reputation Duntroon has established as a truly national institution, and its critical role in the development and professional education of Army’s Officer Corps. The Director of Military Art also took the opportunity to congratulate key Corps of Staff Cadets appointment holders for Semester 2, and to present an operational service medal to the Battalion Sergeant Major. 09.01.2022 III Class has continued with its Leadership, Character and Ethics (LCE) training at RMC-D, recently completing the Leadership Reaction Course at Majura Training Area. This provided the SCDTs the opportunity to develop and test their leadership styles in preparation for Ex Tobruk which will see the SCDTs leadership and character assessed in an arduous environment. #ArmyInMotion #GoodSoldiering #ourpeople
