24.01.2022 Yaam Gumbaynggirr Jagun here is Gumbaynggirr country The Gumbaynggirr people have occupied the Mid North Coast from Nambucca to the Clarence River and west to... the Great Dividing Range since the Yuludarla or the Dreaming. These boundaries are not lines on a map but they are learned experiences through storylines. Gumbaynggirr language is part of a living culture spanning 80 kms of beaches, headlands, rivers, estuaries, creeks, mountains and flood plains. The Gumbaynggirr people have a profound connection to their country which is expressed through language and storylines. Language is the fundamental basis of the connection between people and specific places in the landscape, it is the story that holds the meaning of language. It is story that embodies the connection between people and places. (Singing the Coast, Tony Perkins and Margaret Somerville,2010) Walking tracks are dynamic living trails and networks that represent the intimate connection between people and place. All walking trails intersect with storylines of other walking trails and these intersections mark places of powerful spiritual significance. The Gumbaynggirr people were traditionally known as the ‘sharing people’ because their land was so rich that food and other resources were commonly shared with other nations.
20.01.2022 Pull up a chair and check out the latest episode of ‘Stories from the City Centre'. Gary (aka Gus) started Jolly Roger Barber Bar only last year - but he is not just a luxury barber - listen to find out his other surprising side project. *Sound on
17.01.2022 Q. What beats scratching your belly in the sunshine? A. Watching a kangaroo scratch theirs, surely! Waves to Wilderness Experiences witnessed this furry f...ellow enjoying a good old-fashioned tummy tickle whilst on a tour in the Coffs Coast region recently. This region of Visit NSW is known for its relaxed vibes, beautiful beaches and sociable wildlife. It’s located roughly halfway between Brisbane and Sydney, so it’s just far enough to escape the city crowds. Winter getaway, anyone? See more

11.01.2022 ILUKA INTERCHANGE OPENED TODAY!!! It has on/off ramps on both sides. It had an overpass bridge with a roundabout on each side. On one side the roundabout connec...ts Iluka Road and Garretts Lane. On the other side it connects Garretts Lane, Lewis Lane and Banana Road. The Old Mororo Bridge is re-opened with traffic lights. Temporary signs are in place so we can all work out what to do. Don’t follow your GPS initially, it might not be updated. 15 kilometres between Mororo and Devils Pulpit will also open in a few weeks. More than 85% of the 155-kilometre Woolgoolga to Ballina Pacific Highway upgrade is complete. There are 2490 workers on the job. Fantastic to be getting on with this important upgrade. For information about this upgrade, click this link: https://www.pacifichighway.nsw.gov.au//woolgoolga-to-balli

04.01.2022 WE'RE REOPENING! Starting with the Cafe & Gift Shop, we will start to reopen the park safely, for locals and visitors to enjoy! Commencing this Saturday 6th J...une, the Cafe & Gift Shop will be OPEN from 9am until 4pm for the long weekend. From Tuesday 9th June, we will be OPEN from 9am until 3pm each day.
