22.01.2022 Dawn Patrol 2020 On Sunday the 6th December 2020, the Royal Victorian Aeroclub hosted their 80th annual Dawn Patrol. The day went smoothly thanks to the efforts of Bridgett Uildriks, flight Instructor Christian Murphy and board member Lindsay Patone. ... A special thankyou to all the pilots and participants, our guest speaker Hewan O’ Neill and to Flight Deck Bar and Grill who served a fantastic breakfast. Finally, thankyou to all service men and women, past and present who have defended our country, lest we forget. Here are some images of the day. Enjoy

15.01.2022 Dawn Patrol 2020: Guest Speaker: Hewan O’neill bio "Hi my name is Hewan ONeill, age 81 years, born June 1939.... I was raised in Heidelberg, attending East Ivanhoe State School. In 1951 I moved to Seaford; Frankston High School and joined 5th Frankston Sea scouts, later joining the Victorian Squadron Air Training Corps in 1953. In 1957 I joined the RAAF Reserve and, In 1956 joined the ES at A bank. I then resigned and joined the Victoria Police in 1961 serving for 30 years until 1991. In 1967 I seconded to Australian Police and served 12 months in the United Nations peace keeping force in Cyprus. From 1995 I served as a public servant for Victoria Police as an operator at D24 police communications, later joining Intergraph as an operator for all emergency units."
